Kapitel 13: Do you think?!
After hearing the truth from Kenshin the other fishmen seemed less hostile towards him because they now knew the reason why he saved their captain and vice-captain.
Seeing his little trick managed to calm the fishmen Kenshin then looked at Fisher Tiger and said, "Isn't it time for you to answer my questions?"
Fisher Tiger nodded his head and sat down at his seat again facing Kenshin, "You can ask any question and I will do my best to answer them for you."
"Let's start with the first question then, do you know what a kappa is?"
Fisher Tiger tilted his head deep in thought, he then looked towards Jinbe for an answer but the latter only shook his head indicating that he also didn't know what a kappa is.
"Hmmm, this is my first time hearing that word. can you elaborate what a kappa is?" Fisher Tiger asked in curiosity.
Seeing their response Kenshin had a disappointed look on his face and started explaining, "Back in my country, there is a creature that claimed to be a kappa, and when I asked where he came from he told me that he was from the fishman island so I initially thought that he was a fishman but looks like I was wrong."
This pique Fisher Tiger's curiously even more, so he asked again. "Can you please describe his features?"
Kenshin lowered his head while rubbing his glabella trying to remember the kappa's characteristics, he took a moment to capture the kappa's image in his mind and said with his eyes closed, "He has a round body, two blush marks on his cheeks, a beak-like mouth and a wild orange hair."
While Kenshin was still trying to remember if he had missed anything, Fisher Tiger who was seated opposite to Kenshin suddenly stood up. he then approached Kenshin with his hands trembling as he grabbed Kenshin's shoulder shocking him greatly.
Not paying attention to Kenshin's confused gazed Fisher Tiger who already had tears coming out of his eyes asked in a trembling voice, "Do you know his name? is there a female merfolk along with him? she has red curly hair and pale blue skin."
Kenshin nodded his head and replied, "His name is Kawamatsu, as for the female merfolk you are talking about that must be his mother but sadly she died a few years ago."
*Plop!*
Fisher Tiger suddenly kneeled, he stared at the floor with tears as he started punching the wooden floor breaking it.
"Why?! why?! why?!"
As Fisher Tiger continued punching the floor he kept shouting "why" trying to find an answer.
Looking at Fisher Tiger who had broken down, a ridiculous thought entered Kenshin's mind. he took a deep breath as he approached Fisher Tiger.
"Are they your family?" Kenshin asked as he stopped behind the kneeling fishman.
*BAM!*
Fisher Tiger punched the floor one last time, he rubbed the tears off his eyes using his bloody hands and turned his head towards Kenshin and nodded.
"Kawamatsu is my younger brother while the female merfolk that is with him was our mother, they were taken away by human pirates in the past that is why I started my adventure in hope that I can one day reunite with them." Fisher Tiger explained surprising everyone, they didn't know that their captain has a little brother.
Kenshin stared at Fisher Tiger and said, "I understand now, I don't want to be a d*ck for telling you this now but Kawamatsu's isn't really safe right now because our country has been taken over by a pirate."
"What?!" Fisher Tiger exclaimed in shock and soon anger filled his eyes as he said.
"Tell me where your country is and I will go help Kawamtsu right away."
Kenshin shook his head in response pissing Fisher Tiger, he grabbed Kenshin's collar and commanded in a cold voice, "Tell me where is Kawamatsu right now."
Seeing the anger in Fisher Tiger's eyes Kenshin didn't back off and stared right back at Fisher Tiger and replied in an even colder voice, "Do you think that I also don't want to go back to my country and save everyone close to me?"
"Do you think that I want to stay here and train while my family and friends are suffering at the hands of those bastards?"
"Do you think that I haven't tried to tried fight back?!"
Seeing Kenshin getting angry, Jinbe immediately intervened as he pulled Fisher Tiger away from Kenshin who was already releasing such a terrifying blood lust which even made Fisher Tiger snap out of his anger.
"Kenshin! Kenshin!" After pulling Fisher Tiger back Jinbe tried talking to Kenshin by calling his name but the latter was unresponsive and continued to glare at Fisher Tiger like he was his nemesis.
"Ken-Ken"
In the midst of his wrath, a silhouette of a little girl appeared in Kenshin's mind as his bloodlust started to fade away making Jinbe sigh in relief.
"Tsk, sorry about that I will be taking my leave first," Kenshin said in a plain tone as he turned around and exited the hall.
But as Kenshin was about to step outside Fisher Tiger stopped Kenshin and asked, "May I know the name of the pirate who took over your country?"
Kenshin glanced back at Fisher Tiger and replied, "One of the four emperors, Kaido of the Beasts."
