Kapitel 35: Monsters

Zia lay there for a moment still in shock that she was still alive and not devoured by the darkness. She breathed heavily with her eyes tightly closed.

Suddenly, Gemini licked Zia's face with both of his tongues and nudged her to get up. His two heads took a lot of getting used to.

She was accustomed to seeing him killing things and looking scary. This happy puppy who seemed to love her dearly and saved her life, was very new to her.

She wondered how he escaped his holding cell and how he knew where to find her. She was still surprised that the dark stalkers didn't harm him. There were so many questions running through her mind as she lay on the floor.

"Come this way." A little voice whispered.

Zia looked up to see a young girl in a cloak with a lantern in her hand. She immediately stood up but her legs gave way. Her feet and legs burning from running through the forest for so long.

Gemini came close to Zia as she used him to help her stand.
