Kapitel 5: New skill
Karl clicked the blue screen in front of him which resulted in his status being shown.

'What does it mean by dragon blooded?' Karl thought 'do I have dragon blood running in my vein' Karl wondered and clicked on it for more information.
[A mutation of blood which resulted in blood having the capacity to store mana is known as dragon' blood]
Mutation as a concept was familiar to Karl or any other human was because it was one of the main reasons why human power grew so quickly and overtook some of the ancient powers.
'Will more and more mutation occur as I level up?' Karl wondered but soon shifted to the next thing.
'I leveled up before completing the quest and defeating that **s h*l* which gave me 15 exp and defeating his minions gave me 10 exp each. Why did the exp difference is only 5?' Karl thought 'maybe after I leveled up, it resulted in narrowing the power gap and shorting the exp gained.' Karl's game mind started to draw conclusion about how the system worked.
'when I leveled up I got defense and mana which helped me shrug of the final attack on me and ultimately win the battle, Karl thought and suddenly remembered that he first experienced mana through eyes and now he could only feel mana around him.
'Maybe it has to do something with the dragon's rage skill.' Karl thought and clicked the skill tab. The once empty skill tab was now filled with skills. 'Wait, what's this skill?' Karl tapped on the new skill.
[DRAGON'S EYES Lv.1]
[Dragon's eye can perceive everything that comes across it but, due to low level of the skill it can only reveal mana around the radius of 1 meter and for short period of time.]
'Regardless of the restriction, the skill is very useful' Karl tried to activate the skill but couldn't.
[Not enough mana to activate the skill!]
[Activation requirement: 5 MP]
Karl realized his lack of MP and didn't knew how to replenish so; he threw that problem at the back of his head and focused on the skill he did use.
[Dragon's Rage Lv.1]
[Dragon's rage can only be activated when the user experiences strong emotions of rage or near death experience. The skill adds 15+ stats to all the stats for 30 seconds. No mana cost]
Karl got upset that he could not use dragon's rage as much he wanted. 'At least I can use it at the last moment of battle as a surprise attack.'
After checking the information about the skills, Karl thought that he needed to level up or pick up a weapon for fighting as he didn't had any attack skill and dragon's rage only activated in near death state or strong emotion.
Karl tapped on the quest tab to see if any new quest had been triggered.

[Reward: 10 skill points, ???]
'Skill points? Is it to increase skill level?' Karl tapped on skill point and conformed that it could be used to increase skill level. Karl quickly tapped the skill tab again to check how much SP were need to upgrade his skills and found out that both skill needed 10 SP for single upgrade.
After checking everything twice Karl went to sleep and woke up early in the morning the next day and checked out of the hospital with card given to him by ted.
Karl entered his apartment and sat on the bed and thought about what he should do about joining the magic academy.
'If I join the military for their special team, I'll have to complete missions and gain achievement to get resources and knowledge about further stages of magic and on the other hand I'll have resources, knowledge, and competition in the academy.' Karl thought.
'So, it is decided. I am going to join military.' Karl thought and fell into his bed 'who am I kidding? I don't want to interact with those people like that a** hol* Mat and deal with them daily.'
Karl sighed and thought about john who had advised him to join the academy when his orders were to recruit Karl into the military. John had suddenly just told him to join the academy and for Karl's benefit.
'Maybe I will join the academy. I'll have to go to moonlight city for the entrance exam.' Karl thought ' but first I have to try something.'
Karl sat on his bed and activated dragon's eye skill which cost 5 MP which Karl recovered over night sleeping at the hospital. The awakened body naturally recovers mana to the capacity of the body but the process is slow.
Karl's blue eyes glowed with mana, his vision of the world changed a little, and he saw everything a littler darker except the mana flowing around his apartment like air or wave at the sea with bright white color. He could see mana flowing around him, slipping little by little inside him, Karl could also see pass the wall in the 1 meter radius of himself.
Karl closed his eyes and cut off the outside world and focused on his body. Karl saw very thin strain of mana flowing through his blood stream and going to his eyes, soon the little mana left in his body depleted and that caused Karl a serious headache which grew more and more until he passed out and fell off his bed.
