The verdant grass continued to sway with the wind behind the plains of the Blessed Academy as the 5th Ethereal Princess sat peacefully.
The man lying down not too far away stared at the sky while he thought of the ridiculousness of this important being just happening to be visiting his relaxing spot and causing this whole situation.
His expression became serious as he also recalled the dangers of it, his voice ringing out softly.
"I didn't see anything."
He thought of the tears he had seen fall from this girl as he said this, waiting for a few seconds before her voice rang out in his ears again.
"That's right. It's best if you didn't see anything."
Silence descended onto the green plains before her voice rang out again.
"Your name?"
"...Noah Eckert." Noah replied carefully as his mind continued to spin, adding a question himself. "Yours?"
The grass swayed peacefully as no reply came, Noah waiting an entire half a minute before he heard the sweet voice again as it came with a sigh.
"Rose. I'll be leaving now, don't leave this area for at least another hour if you don't want to be wrongly implicated in anything."
Noah stayed silent to voice his affirmation as he stared at the vibrant blue sky, feeling the smell that had woken him up gradually fade away.
He had no problem staying in the verdant plains for another hour. It was his relaxation spot, after all!
His mind was already locking away the memories of the girl that was crying and what her identity was.
As an Iron Rank Blessed, he couldn't even afford to think of Silver Rank Blessed at this moment, much less a being that was protected by 10 of them!
He also wasn't a knight in shining armor that would begin peering into the business of the crying girl asking what he could do to help.
A chance meeting.
An exchange of names...and that was it!
Neither person knew if they would ever meet again, nor did either of them care.
One wanted to continue his days Idling with no issues, the other had her own weight on her shoulder as to her, this was only a small unimportant meeting she would soon forget about.
So the time passed.
----
The visit of the 5th Ethereal Princess to the Blessed Academy turned out to be brief, the Chiefs seeing her out as they breathed sighs of relief as activities resumed to normal.
In the green plains, Noah loved his little life so much that he enjoyed his relaxation for another 2 hours before he even raised his head and left the plains to begin heading back home.
The visit was nothing too important in his eyes as he didn't wish to embroil himself in any way with powerful beings while he was still so weak.
Stay low and be Idle.
That should be his motto for the days to come!
He went back home as he chose to wait on collecting the Loot Resources that had been filling up since this morning, wanting to see what a full 24 hours would provide when he collected all of them at 6 am tomorrow.
He had managed to get in the routine as nothing deviated from it aside from the chance meeting earlier today, returning home and into his bed with ease as the night quickly passed.
When the blanket of the night washed over Academy City, it didn't become quieter, and instead became even livelier as it was the time that Blessed went out in full to enjoy themselves.
After a day's work of diving into dangerous Rifts, many of them could be seen in vibrant establishments that held a deal of voracious food, men, and women.
But Noah didn't have any of this in his mind as he peacefully slept!
---
When he woke up early in the morning, over 24 hours had passed since he last collected loot resources from the Idle Gaming System. His bright eyes swept over the system as he was really close to opening it watch the shower of golden light bloom into numerous text boxes, but he stopped himself as he went to grab breakfast.
He knew that he needed a minimum of 36 hours or a max of 48 before he could definitely max the shards he needed for the Rift Bosses from the Frozen Forest and the Verdant Plains, as well as getting the Idle Exp he needed to upgrade to the next level of the System!
'Be patient...be patient…'
He knew that if he clicked on it now, a shower of loot would wash over him as he would be happy to see it briefly, and would then gruel over the rest of the day as he waited for the hours to pass and the last Unit Shards and Idle Exp he needed to pool in.
So he forced himself to be patient!
Everything seemed the same in the Eckert household as he mingled with his family, watching as they left to begin their days as always with a smile.
He stayed behind as today would be a momentous day, and he couldn't bother to leave his home in case another dumb accident occurred. So he lazed around the entire day as the hours passed.
Noah was extremely decisive as he let 15 hours pass freely, spending a majority of it eating, planning, and relaxing in his home.
The entire day passed as it was now 10 pm at night. It was now close to 40 hours since he last collected his loot resources!
His voracious eyes could not wait any longer, entering the Idle Gaming System Interface as he found the three Dimensional Rifts to be shining a brilliant luster of gold!
They foretold what abundant rewards would be seen from waiting for so long.
RUMBLE!
A bright golden light shone from Noah's room.
A line of data appeared.
