Kapitel 10: Lazy = Trouble
Today I am very happy. After all I made my first friend of the same age. Though he is a bit more.. no, fully charismatic then me but still we became friends. Maybe we became friends because our intellect was same. But still I had anticipated a big problem in our friendship. And that is our reputation. Fren was a prince with good looks and was popular. And me, Eric Valhard is a lazy monk. Though my looks are not bad. My looks can go toe to toe with Fren if polished. In other words, my looks were a rough diamond which can shine if polished. But I am lazy, and i don't have energy for this type of beauty concepts.
My reputation was on the edge unlike Fren. So, some problems were surely going to be occur. So, when I got to classroom my desk was full of threatening letters, which demanded to leave the dorm room. Everybody, was targeting me but still couldn't say anything to me because of rules. Here in magic academy, you can't fight. And if you are caught, then according punishment will be given. But if there is a problem or dispute among students, they can duel each other with a consent of any teacher in academy. But the both parties have to agree for duel.
The letters given me were only threatening ones. Not a single duel challenge was given. Maybe it is due to fear of status.
Though my reputation sucks, but still I am is a high rank noble.
So, I snuggled off my mind from threatening letters, and thought of getting a bit of fresh air. So, I used "levitate" and quickly flied up to find a good resting spot. Then I found a good roof for sleep. I quickly flew up there and started sleeping. And then after a while, rustling sound of wind made me awake. I opened me eyes. And in front of me was a white coloured bear marked panties. And then I unconsciously spoke my thought
"Who wears such cute panties? "
Then the girl was standing suddenly covered and attacked me with fireball. I quickly dodged. Then I saw at her face. She was so beautiful. The blue hair was shining, and her pale white skin with sparkling quartz colored eyes. She was like fairy. And then with a tear in her eyes, angrily said
"Pervert!!! I will kill you!!!"
I was thinking that it was my good fortune to be embraced by a fairy and within this time she gave me a super punch. I took the hit as a punishment. And then I stood up. Now I am standing in front of the fairy. She spoke in angry accent
"Who are you? And why the hell are you?? And if you don't give me a proper reason I will kill you here on the spot!!!!"
She was fully extra furious. If I lie she will kill me - type of impression she was giving me. I corrected my posture and with grace i introduced myself.
"My lady, I am Eric Valhard. Third son of Duke Valhard. It's a pleasure to meet you. Can I know your name?"
She then replied
"So, you are the famous slacker? "
It seems she have also heard about me. For the first time, i felt very bad for having bad reputation. Then I smiled at her reply. Then she said
"So answer my questions?"
Then I replied
"I was sleeping here because I found this perfect for sleep. So now can you introduce yourself?"
Then she in an arrogant voice said
"Why I should give my name to a lazy guy like you?"
My heart was a bit hurt. Hearing criticism from a angel was a bit hard. I then to tease her said
"If you don't give your name then, I will have to call bear lady."
She was mad. Then she replied in a threatening voice
"Don't you dare call me that, you waste!!"
This reply flipped my switch. I was giving her my respect and even took her blow as a punishment. But she calls me waste. Everyone knows me as a lazy, but nobody calls me as a waste. It seems she is a prideful and arrogant. Then I said
"You girl. Do you think yourself a queen ? Do you think I can't find your name? I can find it in a second."
I used Appraisal. Her name is Clara Heartstone. Her stats are fairly good and magic control is of like top magician. Maybe this why she is acting arrogant. I spoke
"So you are Miss Clara. Right?"
She was shocked. After she must have thought that I am is not stronger than her. Then I continued
"Except magic control, all other stats of yours are not something special. I can beat you to pulp hundred times."
Hearing my response, she was pissed. Then she said
"Then let's do duel. Then I will show you your place. Worm!!"
"I am okay with that. But we will do in private arena. I don't want to beat you in front of everyone."
Hearing this, she was more pissed. Then we both went to the headmaster directly. The headmaster at first denied to give consent but that girl was determined to have a match with me. Her gallant figure was making me fall for her but i controlled my desires and gave my consent as well. And tomorrow is the duel between me and Clara Heartstone.
