Two years have passed since I held the funeral. At that time a lot of things happened.
For starters, Bolin and Mako were playing in the pro-bending circuit and they became quite popular thanks to it. They like to invite me to their games and I usually come to cheer for them. We still hang out and go out to celebrate after important matches.
Zane and Kai went abroad to study engineering in the Fire Nation. They went to shipyards and factories all across the nation to learn from the best engineers and to share what they learned from Republic City. The last time they wrote back they told us that they were invited to the capital for a gala by a senior. Their parents were very proud of them, especially mister Li. He couldn't believe that his son managed to get such recognition and didn't get kicked out from any of his workplaces and he was even praised by all his bosses. This made Li almost cry every time he received a letter.
Nya was offered the same opportunity but she refused and started to work for Future Industries in Republic City. She quickly got recognized for her skills and mastery, now she is a department head.
We were still together after all this time and we cared a lot about each other. Since she didn't want to stay at her parents' place anymore when Zane left and since I was alone at home, I told her that I would like to stay with me, at my place so we can spend more time together, she was over the moon when I told her that and she agreed without second thoughts.
I spend a lot of time on Air Temple Island, since Nya was usually at work during the day and I got my money by taking commissions to make either drawing or repair stuff sometimes I would have a lot of orders sometimes I wouldn't have any, and a man can stay in his workshop alone for so long.
I would spend my time there helping Pema. That usually meant taking care of the kids and helping the air acolytes with the repairs when something broke. I usually had lunch when I was there and sometimes dinner. Pema would often invite Nya and me to eat with them. It was a fun time since Nya and Tenzin didn't see eye to eye on anything and since both of them were headstrong people they couldn't agree on anything. It was fun to watch especially because both of them knew what they talked about.
Nya and I were still with the equalist but we were in a more auxiliary role than anything. Since that incident, I talked with Wu and I told him that I'm not suited for missions, I might be a good fighter but I don't know when I'll snap and do something really bad. He agreed with me but was reluctant to discard me, seeing that I told him that since I won't be talking in any more missions, I could help with the training of new recruits. He was happy since it's hard to find good teachers and after a couple of weeks Nya joined me as well.
I had a blast teaching the new recruits. I started by making them regret their existence, I beat them till they couldn't walk anymore in the first lesson. Surprisingly all of them came next time. I started by conditioning their bodies for a few weeks and when I thought that they were ready I started to teach them how to chi block, I even taught them some of my personal moves. After six months they were ready for missions.
In six months I made them one of the best fighters the equalists had. This made the other equalists respect me more than they already did. Since they already knew me as Blood Eyed Spirit, they knew how good I was at fighting but when they saw my disciples they started to see me as a force of nature. From the Blood Eyed Spirit, I was started to be called Monster Maker. Since my suit was 'destroyed' Wu gave me another one. I didn't make a lot of modifications on this one. I just made the goggles red and I drew three pairs of red feathered wings on the back of the suit. My suit became so iconic that some disciples asked me if they could draw wings on them on suits. I thought about it and told them a system in order to draw their wings.
The ranks were as such Nephilim, Angel, High angels, Archangels. After they finish training, I would make them take an exam to see if they are ready to start getting their wings. If I found them skilled enough I would draw on their back a pair of small wings and I would give them another name. A name of a saint from my world or an apostle or an angel. If they completed more missions and did good work I would draw big wings on their back and if they did special tasks, harder tasks, I would give them the second pair of wings. The third pair was for very special cases. If that person did an impossible mission then I would give him the last pair and I would give him a new distinction, that of an archangel, one of the best among his brothers.
The disciples became excited and started to all of them took the exam. Some of them received wings, while I told the others to train harder so that can retake the test, I told the ones with wings that if they wanted to receive full wings they needed to train harder so that they could complete more missions. In the next weeks, a lot of my previous disciples came back in order to get their wings and the recruits worked even harder in order to not be left out. This made waves in the community and since my disciples were the best, it gave the wings great value.
I want to apologies for the quality of this chapter. I usually write the chapter and before posting it I do a final edit of the chapter to make sure that all things are all right. I don't feel that I'm awake enought to correct this chapter's mistaskes. I'll remedy this the moment I'm back home.
