Threads of black, white, blue, and silver unraveled slowly to reveal a beautiful, naked figure of a well-built, fair-skinned woman. Her blue hair floated upwards as she gently descended onto the bed of the pond before sitting cross-legged. She was silent throughout. Ah Yin only needed to look at the giant chunk of ice that strangely covered pure red flames to understand that it will take even more time for Ja Sun to emerge. She could only see a shadow of his being silently laying within the ice, bathing in flames.
'I've done it... good luck,' Ah Yin sighed softly. She may not show her worry just to give Ja Sun a feeling that she was pretty chill about his love for taking risks but how could that be true? Taking risks to grow strong was one of the truths of this world so she couldn't do anything about it.
Closing her eyes, Ah Yin's spirit energy began to rise while she pulled her consciousness internally.
"Woah~! Yin! Yin! This is amazing!" Ah Yin heard Yin-Yang Petals sound as shd found a young girl in black and white dotted robes moving around in her consciousness.
"Petals?" Ah Yin inquired as she noted the girl's pitch-black hair and pure white eyes. She may even look scary to a few individuals but seeing that naive, curious, and almost cute expression, Ah Yin chuckled, "Is this the first time you took your human form?"
"Yep!" Petals nodded, her tiny hands pressing her cheeks as she began to mush them, "I couldn't really be independent so there wasn't any need to take my human form but how convenient! See!" She floated upside-down, the hems of her robes slipping over her legs as she exposed herself without care, "I have legs!"
"You do," Ah Yin smiled and then looked at two particular spots with a sense of pride.
"Say, Petals... how old are you?" Ah Yin questioned.
"A few hundred thousand years," She replied while waving her hands in a wave-like manner.
"But... I was a 100000-year-old spirit beast, too yet I never had this much energy. Even after all the Qualitative changes, I'm close to rank 80 already," Ah Yin inquired as she realized that if not for the energy being used in many other things, she would have easily reached rank 80 in a single go and still have plenty of energy to spare.
"Oh! You mean my cultivation? Well, I was born at the level of a 100000-year-old beast but by constantly absorbing the divine energy flowing beneath me, I could skip minor tribulations. Hum, hum, I guess, humans will need to call me a million-year-old spirit beast, a step away from becoming a god~! Amazing, right? You can say it! I'm amazing!" The little girl pumped her fists as Ah Yin looked dazed for a moment.
She quickly observed the two spirit cores. The plan was to use the energy and the remnant of the Blue Silver Emperor's Core to form a core of her body quickly but by the moment Ah Yin realized the sheer energy within Petals, another core was already forming in her spirit sea. In fact, Petals was an expert in forming spirit cores since she even used an excess of energy to form external cores just so that she isn't forced to face the tribulation that will certainly end her life.
Exactly!
Ah Yin had two cores!
A Blue Silver Goddess Core lay in her heart in the form of a brilliant blue crystal shaped like a plant that filled her body with vitality unending.
'Three days... the limit changed again...' Ah Yin gasped once she noticed her changes. When she had the bloodline of Blue Silver Emperor, she could revive from a certain demise after 49 days. This time limit changed once her bloodline evolved into the Blue Silver Goddess to be revived in seven days. Now, once her Blue Silver Goddess Core had crystallized, this time limit was optimized to three days!
But this isn't all.
Ah Yin shifted to gaze at the giant tree with black and white petals for its leaves. The giant tree's roots covered the entirety of her spirit sea and nourished it into a gentle but extremely pure level of energy. Most of Petal's energy was used to form this Yin-Yang Pure Core. Not only did it raise the potential of her cultivation and revitalize it, but Yin-Yang Petals also polished Ah Yin's cultivation from its very base to form this level of energy in her. Not to mention that even after such a high expenditure, the remainder of energy nourished her body, martial soul, and still pushed her cultivation to rank 79!
'A million-year-old... spirit ring?'
Ah Yin left Petals to her own devices as her voice echoed through Ah Yin's mind.
Ah Yin found herself within the pond again. Her spirit rings slowly emerging around her.
Yellow, Yellow, Purple, Purple, Black...
*Swish*
Her sixth crimson spirit ring suddenly caused the water around her to be dyed red only for everything to be divided into white and black.
Ah Yin's eyes widened as she gazed at the bizarre spirit ring. A spirit ring that looked so gentle yet strangely oppressive to the point that even the Crimson spirit ring was dyed the same color of the ring painted half in white and the other half in black. It slowly rotated but Ah Yin's breathing quickened. She felt a reaction to her million-year-old spirit ring. A reaction extremely close to her and she finally turned to see the one thing that hadn't shifted its color.
The ice was still blue. The fire still blazing red under the ice. And Ja Sun's shadow was still dark as he bathed in flames.
Now, the light from the two forms of energy seemed to slightly overpower the pressure Ah Yin's body currently released.
Ah Yin's sapphire eyes suddenly glowed and strange vines emerged from her body, covering her naked form in a beautiful blue-silver armament of sorts.
"This is..." Ah Yin's eyes glowed as she shifted her attention to the living armor that covered her body and slowly grew on her head by covering her hair, "Realm of self." She breathed with an excited expression. Heck, of all things she gained no matter how divine, this rather simple enhancement excited her the most. This was one thing Ah Yin and Bibi Dong trained their butts off for but it only appeared after their breakthroughs.
She regained her composure and this armament of vines retreated into her body.

Plans change. They always do. The same was the case with Ja Sun this time. He wanted to utilize the Bloodline Core of the Three-eyed Golden Lion for his possible third core but now, he had another choice.
Ja Sun rarely tried to absorb something not compatible with his situation. For example, he absorbed the clone devil's right leg spirit bone for its amazing ability but the situation was different at the moment.
His two cores resonated with each other because of the duality of their nature. Life-death. Yin-Yang.
Now, he had the option to either go with the resonance of his martial soul or another resonance with his two spirit cores. Of course, if it wasn't for the Divine Grace Array, Ja Sun would have gone for the former...
Divine Grace Array. Its main function was to manipulate Divine Energy to artificially create spirit rings from the deceased spirit beasts and store them in a single location for later use. It could also be used to achieve other tasks such as blessing spirit energy to spirit rings and letting them grow without the need for Spirit Souls but one's own divine energy should never be used for it since the Divine Grace Array would then devour the energy permanently. No, the Divine Intent should only be used to manipulate accumulated energy.
It meant that the best way to use this Array was to set this array permanently in a location and have the spirit beasts willingly die under the said location so the array can continuously store spirit rings, and spirit energy for later use. Of course, such a good thing has its limitations.
The efficiency of said conversion is simply too... complicated. Spirit Rings for any spirit beast under the rank of 100000 years has a chance to dissipate. Meanwhile, these artificial spirit rings don't promote the growth of the martial soul since they are devoid of intent. Thus, the absorption of these spirit rings depends entirely on the user.
For instance, even when given a 100000-year-old spirit ring, if the user is weak, he or she may not get the full effect and end up deteriorating the spirit ring to a 10000-year-old rank.
With such restrictions, the Divine Grace Array proved more valuable as a research material as shown at Ja Sun's newly gained ability to finally extract soul origin from the spirit beasts for maximum efficiency growth of the spirit souls.
Now, Ja Sun had gained some other inspiration from the Divine Grace Array that motivated him to take this risk and it also drove him to sacrifice the Sigh of Immortal for something greater.
*Roaaar*
Ja Sun's body shuddered once again. Cracks spread across his skull as he continued to bathe in flames while it didn't feel hot. Instead, it was chilly.
The two opposing forces were working together while trapped to get to him.
Fire and Water.
Hot and cold.
Ja Sun silently watched his spirit energy get burnt, frozen, and broken. However, his spirit energy didn't falter for a moment. Dark green shards of Sigh of Immortal began to melt under the divine heat of the Fire Dragon King. Meanwhile, the two arrays on his sea of spirit— The Final Buddha Array and the Myriad Steps Refining Array continuously moved, refining more and more energy to repair his sea of spirit.
The only reason Ja Sun wanted a core for his spirit energy was to not keep it suppressed under his steadily growing mental and internal energy. In fact, his physique was almost at the point of reaching the divine level.
"Let us out!" A loud roar rang again while Ja Sun shrugged internally. As if demanding it now would work on him.
'Just a little more...' He heaved internally. In fact, this process would have been another S-ranked mission yet his mouth wouldn't work at this time and he didn't have enough time to form a mission the moment he touched the two cores. After all, Sigh of Immortal could only hold for so long and the overbearing divine energy of two beasts was simply too much...
But Ja Sun already had a knack of swallowing more than he could chew.
Roars rang within his body and his spirit souls cowered within the already shattering mental world.
Bright Goddess Butterfly: This is worse than committing suicide!
Nightmare's Fantasy: I'm feeling the jerkies!
Ja Sun rolled his eyes internally.
"That's—" A rough gasp finally rang as the divine energy that constantly seeped out managed to ignite the array on his stomach fully slathered with his blood.
*Swish*
'Finally!' Ja Sun huffed as his sea of spirit began to churn violently. The melted droplets of the Sigh of Immortal and a major chunk of it suddenly have a soothing glow.
*Swirl*
Not only his but the two divine forces suddenly began to get sucked into the Sigh of Immortal. A swirl of energy formed in the center of the array on Ja Sun's abdomen as the fire and ice, too, broke into its primal divine forms of energy and got sucked into the devouring force as two pained shrieks rang within Ja Sun.
Once Ja Sun's spirit energy was completely sucked in, the two arrays on his sea of spirit layered on the chunk of Sigh of Immortal and began shaping it.
'And now... to separate the divine intent from energy,' Ja Sun's eyes snapped open the moment he felt water touching his skin once again. He found Ah Yin meditating next to him completely naked— just the right way he always want to wake up in any circumstance.
Yet, strangely, Ja Sun didn't look the least bit hurt the moment the two forms of energy got devoured. Yes, there was blood around him, but his physique was at the pinnacle of mortal level and its healing capabilities were only below what Ah Yin can achieve!
'But damn... am I destined to be bald?' Ja Sun touched his slick skull before shaking his head. The Vajra Gauntlets saved his storage rings but, he too, was now naked. Not minding his form the least bit and happy that Ah Yin would only open her eyes to the sight of his bald nuts instead of roasted ones, Ja Sun got to work.
The dragon's voice was no more as the dark green pendant took the shape of himself in the empty metaphysical space where his spirit energy was contained.
Suddenly, streams of golden brilliance escaped the slowly shaping core as Ja Sun smirked. The streams of divine intent still holding the least bit of the dragons' consciousness were divided into three equal halves and forcefully merged with his left arm bone, right arm bone, and the Right Leg bone!
His two arm bones were already at the level of 99999 years each and they instantly broke through. Meanwhile, his Clone Devil's Right Leg bone shot straight through the next level.
"Y-you... human bastard..." A weak sigh rang as Ja Sun peered deep within. Scoffing at the empty form of the Water Dragon King, Ja Sun waved his hands, causing it to dissipate completely as he successfully devoured the remnants of two god beasts, "It wasn't anything personal. I wanted to improve and you were resources." Ja Sun muttered as his core took form and suddenly filled his spirit sea to the brim.
In an instant!
Ja Sun felt his physical and mental cores resonating with this quasi-divine core and his mental world began to heal quickly from all its injuries and the same was the case for hidden internal injuries.
*Tuc*
*Tuc*
The slow, rhythmic hollow sound began to ring within Ja Sun as he gazed at his new core with a wry expression.
His mental core had two avatars. One was the Death Astral Combatant that can be used to attack while the Life Astral Combatant stayed within and kept his growth in check.
His Yin-Yang War Physique looked heroic and stayed within his heart, continuously purifying his blood. One of the reasons why he could absorb poison at a better pace. The Yin-Yang War Physique distributed any particular enhancement to the body over other parts equally and grew by devouring Ja Sun's impurities.
Now, Ja Sun looked at a green-colored core with the same face as his but the core's hair was tied into a bun. It wore a monk's habit while continuously smacking two canes in its hand. One on the right was blue in color and the one on the left was red. Every time it smacked the canes together, his spirit energy would grow. Of course, without a spirit ring, his rank wouldn't increase but the accumulated energy was already terrifying! But where did the accumulated energy go?
His third core made from Sigh of Immortal had another function— Unlimited Energy formation and storage.
Ja Sun could remain a Spirit Sage and have enough energy to rival gods with enough time!
The Immortal Buddha King core.
Ja Sun smiled.
"At least, the sacrifice of the Sigh of Immortal wasn't in vain. I can try and breakthrough my internal energy to push my physique to the necessary peak now," Ja Sun realized internally. There was nothing stopping his other breakthroughs as of this moment. He then observed his spirit bones and his grin turned eerily wide.
199999-year-old Clone Devil's Right Leg Bone!
450000-year-old Hell Black Tiger Right Arm Bone!
450000-year-old Hell White Tiger Left Arm Bone!
'Jackpot! But it still isn't over.'
"Stop looking at me with that creepy smile," Ah Yin's snarl broke him out of his thoughts.
"What can I say? I have never planted a Blue Silver Goddess underwater," Ja Sun blinked innocently as Ah Yin swam up without asking her storage ring back, "If we're done here, you can try and see how hard it really is."
"Oh," Ja Sun looked past the bed of the pond and narrowed his eyes, "There are still two things left."
Like hell he would leave those two treasures! Who knows that some lucky bastard may snatch it away when he's not looking.
---
*Rumble*
The calm surface of a giant lake suddenly trembled.
"My King!" A dark-haired man with a short beard suddenly knelt and called out humbly. If Ja Sun was here, he would realize this man to be the same one who provided Death Spider Emperor with the way to revert back.
"What troubles you?" He inquired with a sincere expression.
The low rumble soon quietened down as a soft sigh echoed, "I felt the breaths of two Dragon Kings... they vanished before I could point out their location."
The man trembled.
"Humans! They must have something to do with it! Shall I investigate?!"
"... no. The Divine presence has started to appear in many places. This is the age of gods and never has been there a time when only one god ascends. Let's not alert others of my presence."
"Yes," though reluctant, the dark-haired armored man nodded regardless of his own thoughts.
---
"What is it?" Golden Crocodile frowned as Yu Xiaogang continued to gaze in a particular direction with a frown.
"I don't know, master... it feels like..."
---
"Like someone stole something from you?" Yuehua looked at Liu Erlong with a strange expression.
Liu Erlong nodded, clearly upset. The two lay on their bed, already used to sleeping together as she currently sat up and scowled.
"I don't know why I felt like this but... it felt like the time Ka-ul stole my kill."
"Could you not fight over who to kill?" Yuehua smiled wryly as Erlong scoffed and lay back on the bed.
Seeing this, Yuehua shrugged and lay down, slipping into the blanked.
However.
"Ack! Ack!" Yuehua began to cough violently and glared at Erlong.
"How could you?!"
"Silent ones really are the deadliest, huh," Erlong mused as Yuehua face-palmed herself.
"Hey, you think Jun'er will have an even worse reaction?" Erlong inquired with a mischievous glint, easily forgetting the strange sensation that many spirit masters with martial souls of dragonic lineage felt for a moment.
