It was on August 13th (Friday the 13th), 2010 - the 20th day that Kaleb met another Slasher.
After a week of working with Jay on the property, Kaleb was proud to say that they have made a lot of progress! Building a proper home takes time and patience, but it also takes money and materials because normally you wouldn't be able to repair the broken materials and neither would you be able to fuse them together until they were one single thing. But with Kaleb? They could make progress extremely quickly- in the week they spent working on their new home, it went from the bare bones of what could one day become a house to a somewhat decent home- insulation was the first thing they worked on. They had to block every small hole, and thanks again to [Mending], they didn't need many things to make sure nothing could enter the house unless by breaking in.
That's how tightly insulated the whole damn house got.
Jason was pretty proud of that- bugs and creepy crawlies would enter his cabin all the time, and even small little beasties too. Now? Nothing could get in unless they chewed through the walls, which was thanks to the newly installed windows! Due to Jason's knowledge of how to break through them by sheer force, they had to get different windows than purely glass windows. The windows did have glass in them, but they also had metal grids that were actually from different metal materials that Jason broke so they could recycle into metal grids used for the windows!
It was really hot to watch him bend and break metal with his bare hands- he got a bit of a pounding after he began to worship Jason's body intimately by licking the sweat off of his pale white skin. Because that's a thing!?
After their first time, when the pink threads spread, they started to actually draw power from one another more intimately- Jason started to get some body heat back, his heart was beating again, and he could actually bleed now! He was so happy when he began to feel warm that he tossed his mask aside and kissed his wife until he passed out from the lack of kxygen. Because while Kaleb stil needs it, Jason is still the same- no food, no air, no sleep.
He just looks alive again, and he was pretty happy with that.
Besides being alive, Kaleb started to see a bit of a difference on himself- not a huge one, but one nonetheless! He could last longer with Jason and he was having an easier time lifting things and carrying things around. So while Jason started to look alive again and feel a heartbeat, Kaleb started to grow physically stronger... And that was just two days after their first time together!
After the insulation, Kaleb started to work with Jason on the water pipes and the sewage system for the house because they needed it! Kaleb was able to dig a big, big hole thanks to [Mold Earth] that was 50 feet deep by 10 feet wide in both directions- so a big 50 feet deep rectangle! Jason made a comment about being able to throw a lot of corpses down there and Kaleb agreed with him about using some of it as fertilizer before they started laying the pipes that Jason was able to take from the abandoned Camp Crystal Lake by ripping them off of the walls!
He also brought a bathtub, a shower head, and a bunch of rather interesting things... After spending an afternoon reading an instructions manual, Jason (with Kaleb's help) was able to correctly lay out the pipes for the sewage and the water lines and all it took was Kaleb using [Mending] and [Mold Earth] for that to work! Jason had to go back for a big water container that they had at camp and it took him a few hours to get it to their home where they started to get water from the lake. Thankfully, Kaleb was able to learn a very useful spell- that wasn't a Cantrip! After his night of crazy sex with Jason, he found another book inside his head- this one was titled [Spells], which was self explanatory. Some of them had their names crossed out, meaning he couldn't learn them yet, but a few he learned easily.
To recapitulate, he knew the Cantrips [Mending] to repair and fuse things, [Druidcraft] to help with predicting the weather and taking care of the small garden Kaleb is experimenting with, [Wind Gust] just for fun, [Prestidigitation] to clean things, warm them up, change the taste of food, temporarily change the color of things and various little miscellaneous tricks, [Create Bonfire] for a bonfire if they needed, [Control Flames] just in case, [Mage Hand] to pick things from afar, [Mold Earth] to dig and move dirt, [Shape Water] to move water and remove it from places, [Shocking Grasp] to fill up the batteries (they got the electricity working after a few "It's Alive!" Incidents where Jason got electrocuted), and his very attack centered cantrip: [Eldritch Blast].
He had met the conditions for learning it when he got rid of Jason's teather to that spider bitch thing- he had never checked. It was "make contact with an otherworldly being", which the one who sent him to this world didn't seem to count for. The spells he actually managed to learn were [Detect Poison and Disease], [Purify Food and Drink], [Expeditious Retreat], [Cure Wounds], [Entangle], [Jump], and [Magnify Gravity]. He could check the water they got from the lake to see if it had any diseases or poison on it, and he then could clear it up too with a simple ritual for the [Purify Food and Drink] spell, which eas quite easy to do.
With that in mind, Kaleb got realy excited to learn more about magic- it was a wonderful world, and Jason was very supportive of it, mainly because he liked to see him happy. It took them a week to make great progress in their home, they even got a generator that they could use to keep electricity flowing! It was one that Jason broke before, so Kaleb repaired it and they decided to keep this little thing hidden away so nobody could break and rid them of their precious electricity in the middle of the night.
And life, as always, moved on.
Jason got really comfortable with him, so much in fact that he allowed him to touch his face- Kaled didn't mind his face, he thought Jason was cute in a way. But one conversation later and Jason explained to him (in perfect ASL, which took him just a week to learn... this man is a genius) that he didn't like his face. Kaleb nodded and offered to make him a collection of masks for him to wear every day- and if it wasn't for their bond that made it impossible for them to harm one another, his spine would've been broke by how tightly Jason hugged him.
And that was what he was doing in the middle of the night of the 13th of August, Friday, when a voice spoke right from behind him.
"So, you're Jason's little bitch, huh?"
Kaleb reacted immediately upon hearing the voice right behind him. His hand glowed a bright silver light as he casted [Wind Gust] with all his strength- The dark shadow with a white mask that was right behind him went flying out of the backdoor that had been opened and into the woods- with a wave of his hand, [Prestidigitation] occured and the door closed on its on. Kaleb knew, then and there, that Jason's friends had come to visit once more. "That annoying fucking spider- Jay, one of your perverted little friends is here!" He turned around only to remember... Jay wasn't here: "Of course he isn't, how could I forget?"
It was, after all, Friday the 13th.
It was the day Jason's curse would act up- Kaleb learned that the reason people kept coming to Camp Crystal Lake even when they knew they would most likely die was because of the curse. Like a siren's voice, it called to people who even showed a drop of interest with camping, horny teenagers, and stupid people. These were the three types to most likely fall into the pull of the curse! But, there was this mysterious aspect of this curse... Every Friday the 13th, it would play a little game. A group of people would all, at the same time, enter Camp Crystal Lake. They were pulled by the curse and only a few of them could survive if they were lucky- Jason? He was basically forced to defend his territory, like an angry dog that had a mean bite.
Sometimes, only one person would survive the night- sometimes, a small portiok would! Came daylight and the 14th, the curse would release its hold on everyone, allowing them to leave the property and Jason's territory. Jason could still chase people if he'd wanted to, but most times he doesn't anymore.
Unless somebody really, really pisses him off.
"Ah fuck, is the pervert."
"I can hear you!"
"I know, Ghostface... don't you, like, call and ask people what's their favorite scary movie or somethin'?"
"...you don't got a phone, man."
"Oh, right."
Kaleb and Ghostface stared at each other through the window silently for a few awkward moments. "So, uhhh, what do you want...?" Eventually, Kaleb broke the silence as he watched Ghostface being just there, completely still, exuding awkwardness. "Jay's not home at the moment, as I know you're pretty sure, you can leave a message if you want? I'll make sure he knows one of his... friends passed by- oh, like Halloween! He was here, tried to get stabby, got his ass handed to him."
"Well, yeah- I'm kinda here for that?" Ghostface pointed his knife towards his own maks, and Kaleb felt like he was smirking beneath it: "You see, after beautiful, hunky, perfect beast Myers got back... weirder than normal, the Entity was pissed. So it sent me here to kill ya, you know? But hey! I don't like the Entity, nobody really does, so... what do you say? Can you get rid of its strings for me~? I'll even give you one my beautiful photos!"
"..." Kaleb looked around, looking for the thread- immediately he could tell that there was also two other ones besides Ghostface's thread, which were right... in front of him? One was close to the glass, and the other was behind Ghostface, thick in the woods: "Sure, if your invisible friend and the one in the woods want their threads cut off too, I can do a three-for-one event." There were a few moments of silence before a bell was tolled and a... man appeared before him in the glass- he was tall and lanky, looking down at him with his shining eyes. Then, walking out of the woods came a man as tall as Jason, but not as muscular- he looked like a strong man, sure, but he lacked the sheer girth Jason had. He was also using a mask, bit this one was made of bones and he had these weird metal things jutting out of his shoulders and arms.
"Well, if you would~?"
"Sure..." It took him a moment to find the theaters- Ghostface's was the longest and most tightly wrapped. The spider seemed almost protective of him, but they were in his domain, the spider was stupidly weak here! "Let me just-" He pulled the thread of the previously invisible man and watched as his body tensed up before he started to spasm and fall to the ground for a moment, his body flickering between being visible and invisible. "One down-" He turned to the masked man, who was about to say something, but Kaleb didn't wanna hear it. The moment he cut his thread, the metal things in his body simply... fell off. They either fell out of his body or they simply turned to dust, leaving the man free from those weird hooks. "-and another one bites the dust."
"Huh, you're quite good at that-"
"Well yes." The moment he grasped Ghostface's thread, the spider attack him- but he swatted it away. It was like a feral wild animal trying to protect its young, but to him? In his domain? It was a weak little thing. "I am." With a strong pull, he watched as Ghostface's whole body seemed to screech out like a dying monster- it writhed and waved, trying to break free, freaking the fuck out, until it all stopped.
Immediately, Kaleb felt the books inside his mind grow and tightly come together to make a single beautiful black book with a white spider at the cover- It wasn't just any book.
It was his own [Spellbook].
It seems that defying an otherworldly entity with control over time, space, life, and death was a great way to learn magic- who knew? "Send others who want to be freed- and, oh, as payment you could be the photographer." He pointed at the camera that had fallen off of Ghostface's clothes.
"P-photographer?" Trying to catch his breath, Ghostface coughed out: "Why wouls you need a photographer?"
"For the wedding, of course."
Well, not that Jay knows they're getting married... he'll be informed when he wakes up tied to a chair at their wedding and says yes.
