(POV All Might)
Frankly, I kinda understood what he was feeling. Seeing your son you thought you knew so well slaughter a crowd of people right in front of your eyes must be truly traumatic.
But while I absolutely hate the way he did it, I have to admit that it was the fastest and most efficient way. This is why this "game" is so unwholesome. No matter what you do, you'll always end up being hated.
If you kill the others, the world will call you a monster. If you refuse to kill, they will call you a traitor. If you hide, you'll be a coward. And even if you die, people will ask you why. "Couldn't you have hidden better than that", "you should have done this", "you should have done that" ...
In the end, the last team standing will no longer have a place in our society.
Continuing to watch, I finally started to panic when I saw the look in young Midoriya's eyes. I immediately understood what he was going to do.
" NO ! IZUKU! NO !" Cried his mother in tears
She also understood in an instant. My fists were clenched in the face of my helplessness.
Young Midoriya don't do this! You have to stay united. Even if you don't like Hayato's methods, you have to stick with him. Even though it's a tough decision, you have to put up with it.
Midoriya then started to speak. And the more he spoke, the paler his mother's face became.
He then turned around and left the group with the majority of the students. When she saw this, her mother immediately burst into tears.
But as we reassured ourselves by saying to ourselves that they were all staying together, we saw that the strongest of the group had not moved from their places. Even Aizawa had stayed with Hayato.
No matter how much I like my students, I have to admit that most of them don't have the level for this "game". If only they had the Big 3 with them ...
...
The next day, I was invited to a TV show to comment on the "game" situation. Nezu urged me to go because it would "reassure the population" to see their symbol of peace.
Sometimes I wonder if the title of Symbol of Peace really means something.
I was currently seated around a table with two other people. The Journalist and Endeavor. I was really angry. Instead of doing everything to save the children, I was here on a TV show commenting on their decision.
And of course, in this kind of situation, nobody and especially me the symbol of peace would speak their true opinion. In public, everyone strongly condemns Hayato's actions. Some call him a monster, others a villain while some say he should be jailed upon his return to Japan in case Japan wins.
What hypocrisy!
While on the one hand, everyone condemns, on the other hand, on the internet, a place that guarantees anonymity. People show their real faces. Many see him as a hero who knows how to make the right choices at the right moments.
The world is never black or white. It looks more like more or less dark shades of gray.
...
As the interview continued, we had a screen in front of us that allowed us to view the game in direct live.
We then heard something that made our blood run cold. Hayato was about to commit mass murder by burning the forest.
The silence. That's all you could hear on the TV show. Even Endeavor looked uneasy.
But the most terrifying thing about it all was that Hayato was saying it all with a very calm, too calm gaze. It was as if he had just talked about what he had eaten.
Hayato ... the more I learn about him, the more he scares me.
He kills without hesitation, he's a genius tactician, he's a peerless manipulator, he's extremely powerful (from what he's shown, maybe he hides even more power) and on top of that, he seems to have a way of escaping Lucifer's observation.
Yesterday he disappeared with his clone. When he reappeared, the clone was gone and he came out bloodied and on the verge of death. No one knows what he did during this time. On the internet, there are already several theories circulating. But no one really seems to know. Not even his parents.
After that, we decided to stop the interview and go. With Endeavor, we boarded an army car that drove us back to the children's families.
There was an uncomfortable silence in the car. ...
When I got back to the military base, I learned that Hayato's parents were in their room and they didn't look well.
I'll leave them alone, they look like they need it.
What worries me the most is the case of young Midoriya. He still hasn't mastered One for All. Hayato succeeded in retrieving a healer in his group. If Midoriya had stayed with him, he would have had more chances to survive. But now I see absolutely no solution. If he uses his quirk, he's dead.

(POV Shinsaku Yagushi (Mc's father))
The more days go by, the more empty I feel inside. My son, the one I thought I knew so well, looked more like a stranger.
My son is a smart person, I know that. But he's always been nice to everyone. He was always polite. He was smiling, funny, and a prankster. He always had a hard time waking up in the morning and his mother kept reprimanding him about it.
He loved his family more than anything. He told us he wanted to be a hero so he could protect us. When he told us that, we were so happy that his mother had cried with joy.
But right now the person on TV is not my son. He looks like him physically, but he's so different it chills my back.
Until the day I understood.
It was the day they met the American team. After a brief fight that led to a draw, the Japanese team retreated. After that, Hayato went to cool his face, and a moment later without anyone knowing where or how a chair had appeared next to him as if it has always been there.
At that moment I understood everything when I saw the expression on Hayato's face. It was the look he got when he saw something incredibly interesting, something that ignited his curiosity. The expression he had when he was a kid and saw heroes on TV, the same he had when he watched me work in my lab.
But that expression only stayed on his face for a fraction of a second before disappearing. But it was enough for me to see it. My son was still there, hidden under that cold, emotionless mask.
"Lucifer must have done something to him to make him become like this" I said to myself
I'll bring him back among us… I swear it!
