"What did you say?"
"I want to learn magic from all of you, you possess different types of magic and can do things that Hogwarts wizards are incapable of accomplishing."
William stood in front of the dueling club, all the members were gathered as they formed plans for the excursion to the newly discovered pyramid. After the meeting William made that request surprising everyone.
Anana rubbed her neck uncomfortably "This is a somewhat complicated matter, it's not that we don't wish to teach you, it's just that the teaching of our skills is somewhat complicated and sometimes things are forbidden for outsiders."
"I understand, but I'm not asking you to teach me advanced spells or enchantments, just something that is special, I came all the way to Castelobruxo to learn and you seem to be the ones."
The members of the dueling club looked at each other, many of them were reluctant to teach others their secrets, but the last few days William was almost one of them, they all ate at the same table, attended meetings and talked in classes.
"what does Nahuen say, are you willing to teach our young companion?" Anana looked at her silver river companion fixedly.
Nahuen who almost never spoke and was one of the most respected members of the club of all sketched a slight smile on his face only to then nod his head "You know as well as I do that Will is a very proud person, if he was able to ask us this leaving his pride aside it only means that he is sincere with his words, to a person like that I am unable to refuse. I Nahuen from Rio de Plata will teach you the secrets of the magic of the moonlight, I hope you can take advantage of my teachings while you are in Castelobruxo".
Seeing Nahuen offer his teachings to William made everyone slightly change their perspective on things.
"I can teach you how to travel on the broom standing upright without losing your balance" one of the younger members of the club stepped forward.
"I have a trick to make mandrakes not scream while being transplanted."
"I can teach you how to read the stars."
"I think I have the formula for a potion to heal people's eyesight."
"I will teach you how to raise a barrier with the symbols of my island, not many mages will have the ability to break the barrier" Anana mentioned with her arms crossed looking at William fixedly "you already asked for the help, now you have to learn everything we will teach you, you have thirty days from this moment to learn everything, you will be much more reliable in the expedition if you learn everything"
"Sure, just tell me who I start with"
Seeing William's confident smile there was no one in the club that didn't feel energized, maybe he was a Hogwarts student but for the dueling club he was already one of them.
After that meeting every day without fail William met with a member of the dueling club to practice different things, learning the characteristics was one of the first things that William began to study, Edgar a student from Venezuela taught him things that did not appear in the books, he had a parchment with a drawing of a madragora and each part of this plant, it took William two afternoons to understand everything about the mandragora.
During the nights Nahuen taught him how to obtain energy from the moon, recharge his strength without the need to sleep, heal wounds, fatigue and mind. Perhaps it was a passive ability unlike anything taught at Hogwarts but this would save his life in prolonged battles, the first step was to meditate under the moonlight. In Nahuen's own words, his mother could obtain the energy even if she was in motion but William could consider it a success if he obtained it in a state of rest.
On other nights it is Claudia who teaches William how to read the stars to predict future events, she mentions that her family has been dedicated to reading the stars for a long time, even before the first settlers appeared.
The ability to create barriers was one of the most complicated, William had to dedicate much of his time to learning this art, symbols, strokes, measurements, calculating distance and ranges. Every single thing within the formation of such a barrier was complex and Anana was not one of the best students trained for teaching, each of her explanations were illogical.
It was a freckled girl from Colombia who was dedicated to teaching William the broom trick, standing balance could be useful in desperate times or even help in playing quidditch, standing on the broom was for William a similar sensation to using a skateboard.
Far away in the tallest pyramid of all those present at Castelobruxo Headmistress Anne looked out of the window at her students' training.
"He was able to convince them all," she said seriously.
"So he is learning from your students?" another person in the office was sitting comfortably on a sofa.
"Yes" replied Ana looking at Rita, the minister of magic in the region, even some students who used to stay away are now helping the young man."
"Before I couldn't have even imagined the possibility that a member of those families corrupted by the fame of pureblood families would now be in my school communicating with any kind of student without distinction"
"Life tends to be complicated, even for those who rejoice over the possibility of seeing the future"
