Blinded by the cloth, Rosa could only listen to the sounds around her. She had no idea where they were taking her. Her hands were tied with a rope, and her eyes were covered with a black cloth. She was thrown on the carriage with a mouth covered with a wooden piece. It was to ensure she did not bite the rope off and scream. Rosa was smart enough to know that screaming would make it worse. She stayed lying on the carriage as it moved. The sound of the surroundings already told her she was out of the city. It was not the town, as the people would be awake, and there would be loud chatter. Rosa thought it was so easy to take her away. The guards would think this was the elder Goen letting one of his sick family members leave.
Only at the end of the banquet would she be found missing.
‘One of the Burassca elders was connected to the black knights, this would be the scandal of a lifetime.’ Rosa thought, scoffing in her mind.
