The prince led them to his quarters. The office was a mess, with only Ghassan shuffling in between papers. He was murmuring in anger. He was frustrated with the recent rule change. The three newcomers watch the man try to organize the pieces as best as possible, then scream in further frustration if he has something missing. They watched him move around, murmuring for a moment. His eyes fell on the three.

“Your Highness, did you get to propose to the King?” Lais watched the ground; he looked defeated.

“I don’t think the alliance will occur, Ghassan.” Rosa and Waiz both turned to look at the prince.

He was not lying.

“Your Highness? What about the trading pact? We made the pact of resource and …" Ghassan was holding a paper but stopped when his eyes fell on the saddened prince.

He was giving up. It was like the prince had lost all strength he had.
