100% My healing love (Omegaverse) / Chapter 47: Max's waking call

Kapitel 47: Max's waking call

Max awoke abruptly and called Trevor's name. The latter, who was asleep on his lap, was so startled that he woke up and looked anxiously at Max.

"Honey, what happened? Are you okay?"

Max was still dazed and when he heard Trevor's voice he heaved a long sigh of relief and wrapped his arms around him tightly.

"I am fine, I am just having a nightmare" Max buried himself against Trevor's neck and smelled his relaxing pheromones as Trevor slowly stroked his back "I am here honey, don't worry..."

Max felt somewhat safe in Trevor's arms and smiled as he gave Trevor a sweet little kiss before picking up his phone.

"Adrien, I need you to monitor Vanessa and her mother!"

"Already on it sir, the Chairman, and Mr. Trevor have already given instructions the day the accident happened. I am really sorry something like this happened to you, sir!" Adrien had been the leader of Max's security team since he was a kid, so Max started to look at him as a brother, and sometimes he felt like Max's big brother too. That's why he felt a little guilty about the accident, even though he knew there was nothing he could do at this point.

"Don't think about it any further Adrien, we both know that I gave you the order not to enter the university since I started to go there, you couldn't have known that I wouldn't be able to stand up to anyone inside the university. When you know that I'm the best fighter that school could have"

Adrien smiled hearing Max's cheerful voice and continued his report. "So far, there are no suspicious movements from Vanessa and her mother. We have checked everything, she has not even made a suspicious phone call." Adrien told him all the details and information he had gathered so far. He also explained to him how Vanessa had managed to get into the university without a card or ID. It was because she had seduced a new member of the security team with her Omega charm.

Trevor to the side heard Max on the phone and found him rather unusual. Why would he care about her now, when he was not even able to think of a proper punishment for that crazy bastard.

After the phone call, Max looked at Trevor fondly: "You really took care of everything while I was gone... Thanks, baby"

"Well, I was so afraid of losing you that I took the liberty of instructing Adrien to keep an eye on them. I am sure they had another plan..." Trevor had dealt with cunning people many times in his youth. Starting with his own father's family. He knew that once someone made a crazy plan, it was always difficult to stop once they had not achieved their goal. He knew their goal was Max, and now that he'd messed up their plan, he couldn't rest easy and think they'd stop there.

"You have done well. I am a little ashamed I didn't even think of it. I mean, if this was a corporate problem, and I was dealing with a competitor or an Alpha, I would have already done so much to have information and come up with different ways to destroy them. I don't know why I hesitate to act this way when it comes to normal people or should I say omega... But that will stop now... I don't want to lose you because I am too emphatic with people who don't even deserve me to care about them." Max's dream had made him realize how dangerous it was to always make light of things and always give the people who hurt him a way out. He realized that his enemy could easily take Trevor's life if he did not start changing.

Trevor just looked at him, puzzled, guessing that his nightmare must have been scary...

Growing up, Max had always had a soft spot for omegas, he didn't really know why. His grandfather was an omega, but like Trevor, he was not the weak type.

He remembered as a kid he had always done his best to protect them. At school, he always stood up for them when he saw one being bullied or whatever. And his parents always encouraged him.

He grew up that way, and that part of him didn't change. But the adult world was not the same. Vanessa was not the first Omega who'd tried to use him, since people knew he was the heir to the Klayne Corporation. He was smart enough not to fall for her dirty plans, plus it usually stopped when he confronted those Omegas, and they disappeared from his life quietly.

Maybe he had gotten used to dealing with this kind of Omegas and didn't think much about it anymore. At this point, he felt like it was actually a problem because he only acted like this with Omegas. If Vanessa had been an Alpha, he would have certainly come up with a crueler way to deal with her, but she was not, she was among the weakest part of the population.

But Trevor was right, he had grown up and the Omegas in his adult world were not the weak ones from his childhood. They could be cunning, manipulative, and diabolical. They knew how to play victims and deceive people. He'd seen it many times, how some of his friends had been deceived by Omegas. They knew how to use their beauty to seduce and get what they wanted. He knew all that, and that was why he avoided having sex with them when he was on his sensual foray, or should he say he never felt the need to try sex with them, maybe he had his bond with Trevor to thank for that.

Still, he'd always had a soft spot for them, sensing that their lives were not easy and that they had reasons for their actions.

But as he looked back on Trevor's life, he realized that the Omegas were not what he always made them out to be... His life had not been the easiest, but he had done his best to become a strong and respectful young man who didn't let his natural weakness become a problem in his life. He had other goals than finding a rich alpha who would mark him and make his life easier. No, he wanted to be respected and loved for himself.

Thinking about all these things, he found it strange that these Omegas who had intended to do things to him, like get him drunk and have sex with him, had tried to kidnap him or even used that damn drug on him because it wasn't the first time (but back then that drug had a strong smell), had suddenly disappeared from his life. Yes, he'd threatened them to act more ruthlessly if he caught them again, but it just felt too weird thinking about it now that they would all behave and keep quiet.

He picked up his phone as Trevor snuggled into his arms and called his father.

"Dad, don't tell me that all these years you have been dealing with these Omegas..."

"Do not blame me for things I didn't do... I actually wanted them to come down on you again, so you'd learn that life is not as easy as you think, and that people are not good just because they are weak! But your grandfather didn't want you to suffer. He's taking care of them himself... If you ask me how... I don't have an answer for you!" He ended the conversation unexpectedly, leaving a stunned Max behind. Wasn't his grandfather an Omega too? But he was the one who dealt with them, after all.

He was a little lost in his thoughts when he heard Trevor's soft voice, "He deals with them because he knows them best, so get a grip because next time I'll fucking deal with anyone who dares mess with you myself!" His face was so serious that Max could not help but giggle a little, a giggle that soon ended in a searing kiss from Trevor, their tongues dancing passionately together until their lungs declared they needed more air.
