Kapitel 117: Chapter 117

Terri felt a little embarrassed for her earlier behaviour, where she mistook Aizen's words as boastful.

All her life, she had idolised her father, and having seen him always win, she had really stopped considering the possibility that some young boy or girl could defeat him in combat.

"Why are you so quiet?" She heard someone curiously ask, and when she looked to her side, she saw Anira holding her Togepi in her arms and looking at her.

"I am just surprised that Aizen defeated Father."

"Understandable." She nodded her head. "Brother was put under combat training when he was only five years old, and he's naturally talented at it. Even the people who taught him find themselves hard-pressed against him."

"He started so early?"

"Yes. Everyone in our family is put to training at a very early age." She smiled when Terri curiously raised her brow. "I had to go through it as well."

"We will spar later." The red-haired girl happily said, but Anira adamantly shook her head.

"You will bully me. I am only 11!"

Soon, the two girls were happily laughing with each other, and on the other side, Misty, Sabrina, Aizen, and Leaf were watching the Moonheart's Machamp greet some old friends at the Dojo.

It was quite a funny sight how the Machop-Line greeted each other.

There were dozens of Machop, Machoke, and Machamp in the courtyard, and they were all flexing their muscles at each other.

Some even started wrestling with Sabrina's Pokemon to test its strength, and even though the people looking their way could not understand their language, they still understood that they were boasting to or complimenting each other.

Aizen's Machoke was in the crowd too, and he too seemed happy to meet so many of its kind today.

And when they saw that both Pokémon were really engrossed in their chat, they let them be and told them to have fun.

"Terri!" Leaf suddenly called out to the girl. "Where can I choose a Pokémon to challenge a Dojo?"

"You can just ask any of the Pokémon you take a liking to. Why not try asking some Machoke or Machamp?"

"They are busy chatting. Let's not disturb them." She smiled. "What other Pokémon do you have here?" She excitedly asked, and the red-haired girl smiled at her.

"Come, I will show you."

Terri led their group to an indoor gym, where several Hitmonlee and Hitmonchamp were exercising. There were a few Hitmontop as well.

Then she showed them another courtyard, where two Hariyama were engaged in sumo wrestling, and there were a few Makuhita as well, who were either exercising or chatting around.

They even came across a couple of Trainers who were using their Medicham in a spar.

There were also a lot of Primeape and Mankey at the Dojo, a few Poliwrath and Poliwhirl, who were also busy exercising.

However, the Pokémon that caught Leaf's interest were Mienfoo and Meinshao, who were inside a smaller gym, which seemed more private.

Terri informed them that the two adults Meinshao, who were teaching the three cute Mienfoo, were their parents. The female Mienshao belonged to her father, and the male one belonged to the Gym Leader of Aero Town, Glenn.

The youngest Mienfoo, who was being guided by its mother, was only three months old.

Of the other two, the oldest was a year old, very close to its evolution, and the second one was seven months old.

Though the mother had laid these Eggs in the same clutch, it had taken different times for the Eggs to mature and for the Mienfoo to come out of them.

Thankfully, all of her Eggs had survived and they all seemed healthy.

One look at Leaf, and it was clear that she was sold on getting herself a Mienfoo. To her, they were way too cute, and she even approached the youngest and its mother, gushing over it as it practised punching in the air.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a small Panda Pokémon dropped from the roof, nearly causing an accident, and then rushed at the youngest Mienfoo, seemingly ready to beat it up.

Leaf was taken off-guard when Mienfoo slapped the smaller Pokémon away, tossing it in her direction, but she managed to catch it in her arms and worriedly looked at it.

"Pamcham! Panchaaammm!" The little reckless Pokémon struggled in her arms, and fearing that it would harm her, she let go of him.

Everyone watched the show as the little Pancham tried to fight against the youngest Mienfoo, however, it was just too young and inexperienced, and slow as well.

The result was that it ended up receiving a good beating and was left sprawled on the ground, clenching its fists and breathing heavily.

"Pa..ncham."

Anira giggled when she heard it still declare that it would beat up Mienfoo, but as reckless as it was, it did not rush up to fight again after getting up.

Giving Mienfoo a hateful glare, it turned around and cutely rushed out of the Gym.

"What was that about?" Leaf asked as she checked Pancham's information on her Pokedex.

"One of the Eggs in the nursery hatched two months ago. It was Pancham. At first, both Mienfoo and Pancham got along very well, but after Mienshao started training her child, and it grew stronger, things became strained. Mienfoo defeated its former friend in a spar, and it ended their friendship. Ever since that day, Pancham has been hell-bent on getting even with it, but has now lost over a hundred encounters." Terri smiled as she looked at the roof, where a tile was missing. "It has even started sneaking inside this private gym."

"Oh... " Leaf curiously looked at the door where Pancham had escaped, and then rushed out to catch up to it.

"It will be on the lawn on the right! Possibly up the oak tree!" Terri shouted to inform her and heard Leaf thank her from the outside.

"It looks like she has changed her mind." Misty smiled.

"Are there no Pangoro here?" Aizen curiously asked, and when Terri shook her head, he understood everything. "So, there's no one for it to look up to."

"Yes." The red-haired girl nodded her head. "We plan to give it away after the next Graduation Ceremony. Even though it is a Fighting-Type Pokémon, its evolution is a Dark Type. Given their nature, they don't bode well with the discipline of the Martial Arts Pokémon, and this Pancham is a little too prideful and stubborn. But it's cute and mischievous." She giggled. "As soon as you give it some pats on its head, it becomes very obedient and grins a lot."

"You need to hand him to the right trainer very soon." Anira suddenly said. "Given its obsession with Mienfoo, it might forcefully evolve into Pangoro, way ahead of the right time. And once it prematurely evolves, it will not be able to improve its speed by much. Its potential will be harmed."

"We know." Terri sighed. "Father has been speaking to it and has informed it of the consequences. The Graduation is next month, so, hopefully, things will go well. Even though Pancham does not like to train with other Pokémon, it has been training in secret with our guidance."

"That's good." The Orayen Princess nodded her head in appreciation.

"You are so young and you know so much about Pokémon. I am impressed." The red-haired girl teasingly said, but Anira did not blush at the compliment.

"Thank you." She sweetly smiled and graciously accepted it.

The group watched the Mienfoo being trained by their parents for a while, and then they left the Gym to see some more places.

"Terri!" A man called out from the end of the corridor, and they turned around to see him walking towards them.

"Master Koichi is waiting for all of you in the Egg Nursery."

"Let's go!" Anira excitedly grabbed Aizen's hand, and then they followed Terri to find her father.

It was a very quiet and peaceful place, and next to the Nursery was the infirmary, where the Blissey worked.

They were also responsible for taking care of all these Eggs here, which were placed on over twenty pedestals, and covered by black cloths right now.

"Aizen." Koichi smiled when he watched them walk over to him. "Here, it's your proof that you defeated the Master of Fighting Dojo in combat. The badge also makes you an Honorary Memeber of the Dojo. Don't worry, there are no obligations for the Honorary Members."

"Thank you." The Orayen Prince smiled as he accepted the Golden Badge, which was a coin-shaped Medal with engravings of Fighting-Type Pokemon which were found in Kanto and Johto.

"Now, make your pick." The man said and eagerly looked forward to which Egg Aizen would choose.

The Orayen Prince looked around the Hall, glancing at every single Egg that was hidden under the black cloths, and even though he had ways to cheat here, he refused to do it.

As he kept looking around, there was one Egg where his eyes would land again and again, and it was the Egg in the far right corner, in a place where you would not pay much attention.

He stared at it for a few seconds and followed his instincts.

"Are you sure you want that one?" Koichi suddenly spoke when he was about to reach for it, and he curiously turned to look at the man.

"I really suggest that you choose another." Terri too sighed and advised him, even though it was slightly against the rules to make any suggestions.

Aizen could sense that they were speaking out of goodwill, and he sighed in his heart.

He looked at the Egg again, and subconsciously, a smile formed on his lips.

"I choose you." He whispered, trusting his instincts, and when it picked up the Egg, both Koichi and Terri sighed and shook their heads.

The girls could not see which Egg Aizen had picked from where they were standing, and Misty turned to look at the Dojo Master.

"Is there something wrong with that Egg?" She worriedly asked and became more anxious when she saw the man nod his head.

"The Egg is cracked and was abandoned by its parents. It has stayed in the Nursery for over a year now, and it still hasn't hatched. The only reason we kept it is because it is still alive, but chances are that whatever Pokémon comes out of it will likely have some genetic defects. And that's if it ever hatches."

"Oh..." Misty sighed as well, shaking her head, and feeling a little sad.

Aizen's luck seemed to be really bad today.

"It's fine. I am happy with it." The Orayen Prince gently said when he walked over to their side, holding the black and blue egg which had a few golden stars on it.

As soon as Anira saw it, her eyes widened in slight surprise.

Of course, she knew exactly which Pokémon it belonged to, and she was glad that it was something that her brother liked a lot.

"I can't change the rules or I would have allowed you to make another pick." Koichi apologetically smiled. "But now, let's just hope that the Egg hatches and the Pokémon comes out in good health."

"It will be fine." He smiled and followed the Dojo Master out of the Nursery.

And it was then that they found Leaf rushing towards them from down the corridor, carrying a cute Panda Pokémon in her arms.

"Aizen!"
