Kapitel 69: Chapter 69
The rest of the sessions of the third day of the Fossil Hunt were cancelled and the event was wrapped up as a result of what transpired in the Oldstone Valley. Despite being abruptly called off, the event was still a hit as a lot of Trainers managed to earn money by exchanging the Fossils they found, and some found new additions to their Teams.
Other than the boy who was critically injured and bedridden for a couple of months, every Trainer who participated in the Hunt had already left the Island. Well, except for Aizen and his squad of girls.
Indigo and Silver Councils sent more Rangers to the Island, accompanied by a few Ace Trainers, and a lot of Aerodactyl were caught to transport them to their new homes. Seeing so many Aerodactyl being captured, a few flocks of them migrated away from the Island by themselves. And Aizen managed to pull some connections to get a few to be sent to Blanc Island as well.
Jared and Dora helped with the process, and they even helped Anira find a pair of Male and Female Omanyte and Kabuto that could, in future, populate their species on Blanc Island.
Aizen and the girls stayed on the Island for a couple of weeks while the plans of transporting the Pokemon were being carried out. They did not waste time though, and focused on training their Pokemon. However, the highlight of these days of staying on the Island was Sabrina's Diancie.
Anira, Leaf, and young Crystal were enchanted the moment they saw the Diamond Fairy. Even Misty, despite her reservations against Sabrina, could not help but fall in love with the cute Fairy Pokemon. The girls would spend a lot of time playing with her, and the Fairy was always in the mood to have fun. She quickly became friends with all their Pokemon.
Aizen's Mega Salamance showed some reservations against her, since she was a nemesis of Dragons, but eventually warmed up to her. It even let her take a ride on it along with Anira, and needless to say, the Diamond Fairy soon got addicted to the thrill of flying. She would occasionally make requests to Sky and Aerius to give her a ride, and they were more than happy to fulfil her request.
Aizen gave a break to Machoke and Wartortle after two weeks of heavy training regime and sent them to the Blanc Island.
Leaf was busy focusing on training Pichu, Flabebe, Duskull, and Weepinbell. Her Pidgeotto was being trained by Aizen's Mega Pidgeot. And her Magnezone and Exeggutor were under the care of Mega Metagross. She later sent Exeggutor to Blanc Island to make space for Lileep on her Roster when Dora and Jared successfully revived it. And its appetite took her by surprise.
Lileep ate a lot. It was almost always hungry, and within two weeks, it seemed to have gone through a growth spurt. However, she decided not to train it and Staryu for a while since they were still young.
Misty sent the pairs of Kabuto and Omanyte to her family, and her father was more than happy to have them put in their Family Aquarium. Her sisters praised her as well, which brightened up her mood, and she too was focusing on Training Jolteon, Misdreavus, Krabby, and Onix.
Sabrina only joined them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At other times, she was either meditating in her room or out there, somewhere on the Island, training her Pokemon.
The Orayen Prince made a call to Joseph Stone, and then one to his Grandmother. The two of them arranged for Sabrina to be inducted in the Arcane Creed, and then officially put her on the Action Team that was designated to solve the Team Doom.
Aizen gave her a watch, similar to the one he wore, to stay connected to the Team and receive news from the Order. She did not bother communicating with the Team, leaving that part for Aizen to deal with on her behalf, but stayed updated on all the news that was sent.
The Orayen Prince also wanted to have her linked with Blanc Laboratory, but after seeing that she was being sponsored by Professor Juniper, who was a friend, he decided to not steal her prized Pokemon Trainer. However, he contacted Juniper and asked her permission to let Sabrina send some of her Pokemon to Blanc Island from time to time, and the Professor agreed to his request.
Right now, Aizen was busy Training with Growlithe and Lapras inside a clearing. The orange puppy was finally able to use Flare Blitz, and Aizen was helping him make it stronger and faster.
Lapras had mastered Hydro Pump, and today, Aizen started on its Psychic Training. It already knew Light Screen, and Aizen was helping it learn Reflect, which would help it against some Fighting-Type moves.
"Brother!"
Anira came running into the clearing with a blinking Pokemon Egg in her arms. It was the Fossilized Egg that Jared and Dora helped him restore. The little Princess managed to approach him right before the glow brightened and engulfed the Egg.
She carefully put it down on the grass and crouched by its side along with Aizen. The two siblings patiently waited for the process to happen, and to their pleasant surprise, a cute little Pokemon appeared after the glow subsided.
"Togepree!" It cutely called out and curiously looked at both the siblings.
"Awww!!!" Anira gushed at it and scooped it up in her arms before planting a light kiss on its head. "It is a Togepi!"
"Yup." Aizen chuckled at her and nodded.
Togekiss line was one of the endangered Pokemon, and their numbers were so low that Trainers would rarely come across one in the wild. Anira was not familiar with the pattern on a Togepi Egg, but Aizen had known what Pokemon it was going to be and kept it a secret from his sister to surprise her.
"Anira!" Leaf came running in the field panting heavily, and Misty was right by her side.
They were shocked when Anira suddenly picked up the Egg and ran out of the Pokemon Center, and they understood the reason when they saw the cute little Pokemon she was carrying in her arms.
"Toge..."
The little Fairy Pokemon was nervous in the presence of the two girls and hid its face in Anira's bosom.
"It's okay." She gently squeezed it and whispered some comforting words to it.
"Togepi, the Fairy Pokemon. Togepi is a small, light-yellow Pokémon with a round body that is still encased in its eggshell. Togepi does not shed its shell. The Egg has red and blue shapes on it. Togepi has stubby hands and round feet with two toes each. It has black eyes and five spikes on its head that seem to form a crown and it can release Poison from them.
Topegi retracts in its shell when it sleeps. This Fairy Pokemon can siphon the positive energy of others, and then release it to those in need of it. It has a very joyful nature. As a result, it is said that it shares its joy with those who take care of it. Togepi is also believed to be a sign of good luck for its friends, and also believed to bring bad luck on its enemies."
Leaf listened to the description on the Pokedex and seemed to be in awe of it.
"It is so cute!" She approached Anira and carefully observed the little Pokemon. As soon as her face got closer to it, the little Pokemon panicked and jumped out of Anira's arms and into Aizen's chest, who carefully caught it. "I am sorry..." She was flustered at what happened.
"Don't worry." Anira grabbed her hand and squeezed it. "They are timid, and it usually takes time for them to open up to anyone other than their parents."
"So, it thinks of you two as its parents," Misty smirked at them, which only made Aizen and Anira flash a bright smile at her.
"Aww... Let me hold it in my arms!" A sweet voice called out from behind Aizen, and he turned around to find Diancie looking at him with puppy eyes. She had just arrived after playing around with Rinko.
"Toge.." The little Pokemon seemed to have sensed the comforting Fairy Energy that Diancie was exuding and curiously looked at her.
Seeing that Togepi was not scared of her, Aizen handed it to the Diamond Fairy, who happily spun around with the little Pokemon in her arms.
"Veee!" Rinko wanted to play with it too, and it took quite a while for Diancie to convince Togepi to allow Rinko close to it. And soon it became acquainted with Lapras and Growlithe as well.
They played for a while and the newborn Pokemon soon ran out of energy. It retracted into its shell after making Anira pick it up in her arms and soundly fell asleep.
"We are leaving the Island tomorrow," Aizen announced to them after recalling Growlithe and Lapras in their Pokeballs.
"Where are we headed next?" Misty inquired.
"Vermilion City."
"So the Electric Gym..." Leaf was already making plans for it.
"Yes." Aizen smiled at her and gently caressed her head. "Let's head to the Pokemon Center."
