Kapitel 20: Chapter 20 : What I want is-
After a long time rest , the maid Shilia came upto Marlin who was still resting peacefully. She called her out to have her breakfast which will be served at bed .
Marlin slowly opened her eyes and saw her . She then wiped her eyes . It feels like she's still sleepy even though she rested for so long. She kept in yawning ...
"Would you like to sleep more my lady...?", Shilia asked .
"No... what time is it now ?", Marlin asked while still being sleepy and yawning constantly.
"Umm, its already past afternoon", she replied.
"...what?", Marlin was surprised. She already thought it was late but didn't know it was really that late. She wanted to rise up fast but Shilia stopped her .
"You were hurt and also the doctor told you rest more you can so its alright...." . She put the blanket back on her again while serving her breakfast.

"Thank you for guarding me the whole night...", Marlin smiled.
Even though Marlin did sleep that night but she felt a presence around her the whole night . Even though she didn't saw who it was but she felt happy someone was protecting her since she was helpless that time . She assumed it was Shilia-
"Oh no, my lady. It wasn't me but it was Prince Ethan who guarded you the whole night since you might be in danger since you saved the prince ....", Shilia smirked.
"Pardon...? He guarded me the whole night....", Marlin was embarrassed by the fact . She didn't make a weird face did she ...? Or did she snored?? I hope he didn't thought i was really ugly in my sleep did he ..?
Marlin was really blushing hard by only thinking that. Her hands covering her cheeks to stop it from being so red . Maybe its a thing she wont forget .
Meanwhile, Prince Ethan went to the king to talk about further investigations regarding yesterday's issue. Lanier came and joined him.
"You haven't actually slept the whole night your highness. It will be bad for your health."
"Its okay, I can always sleep later ....its an exception case only for today. I have to meet his majesty soon."
*smirk* "Well, did anything happened last night...?", Lanier asked while staring intently at Ethan.
"You really know how to cross your lines every time." Ethan ditched him while saying that . He remembered what happened the last night . He came to guard Marlin ; who was sleeping soundly. He looked at her -
"Shes so defenceless...does she not know how to cover herself properly in a mans bed or does she think i wont actually do anything to her ...", he sighed. Ethan then covered the blanket for her which was left loose.

When Prince Ethan met his majesty . He was busy talking with the councillors and the prime Minister of the kingdom. When he arrived with Lanier , with noticing the prince ; he ordered all of them to leave the room at once to have a private chat with him.
All of them kind of glared while leaving . Seems like they don't accept him as a part of royal family he is a son of a concubine . But they all seem to always curry favours from prince Mathias.
"My dear son, what brings you here? I heard the matter of the assassination attempt been taken care of ?", the king asked.
"Not fully...your majesty. There is a mastermind behind them. I will have them interrogated again today to make them reveal as i want."
"Oh so there's a mastermind behind that...? I think ill make more people look into it . You don't have to worry about you . You hadn't any sleep because of it, right?"
Lanier laughed loudly *pfft*
The king was confused, "?"
Lanier seeing the confused state of the king replied, "He couldn't get any sleep because he was busy protecting his saviour...."
The king looked at Ethan who reverted his eye to eye contact with him; "you don't mean my son who doesn't want to get involve with girls is himself guarding a girl alone ....?"
Lanier smugged, "That's true, your majesty!"
The king felt very amused. Because except having state affairs talk with his son , he's involved with something more unexpected and started to see a different side of his son. After the death of his beloved concubine, he wasn't able to shower love as a father enough to both of his twins . He felt very sad for this . Thats why he was wishing their happiness and have full approve if they find anyone they love..
"Lanier...", The king asked.
"Yes, your majesty...", Lanier bowed.
"Please arrange an audience with this lady who saved my son. I really need to see her !", he told .
"Okay, your majesty" , Lanier smiled.
Ethan sighed . He initially cannot comprehend to what is going on . He rather didn't want to continue the conversation any longer so he went away marching to his room. Lanier after bowing to the king kept on followed the prince from behind . He felt amused as well and cant wait for to happen next.

Marlin was sitting on the bed still. When they met eye to eye ; Marlin wanted to get from the bed to bow to the prince . Obviously the prince told her not to.
The prince told Lanier and Shilia to leave . Marlin was kind of wary since they are going to speak alone in private.
"Say, what do you want...?", the prince asked having a stern look at Marlin.
"Excuse me...?", Marlin was dumbfounded.
"Money, riches, power; name it and it shall be yours. Isnt that the sole reason why you protected me in the first place?", he said again. To be honest , Ethan had a hard time trusting people and those who always try to have a good relationship with him are either greedy or want something in return from the king.
So it was bound to think that the idea that someone might actually risk oneself to just save his life is out of question.
"Are you really that dumb, your highness...?", Marlin really got angry for the first time at the prince . Of course she cant shout back at him because he might be clueless but still.
Tears were rolling down, because of the thought Ethan thought of her as that type of girl....a kind of misunderstanding was sweeping through them but Marlin wept.
Seeing her cry made the prince turned into an awkward state of mind , "Why is she crying? Wasn't she supposed to be happy receiving her luxury now? To be honest this thing was totally new to Ethan so he didnt know what to do .
He brought out a handkerchief from his pocket snd extended to Marlin, "Please don't cry, maybe I misunderstood something perhaps ...?"
"Yes.... you did you idiot!", Marlin told.
"Excuse me ...?", Prince Ethan was perplexed.
Marlin then came closer to the prince . Their face was close to each other . This time Marlin wasn't embarrassed at all ; because her first thought was to clear up the misunderstanding asap. But instead Prince Ethan was blushing. Its a sudden move he wasn't able to notice at all.
"If you really wish to give me something there's something i really want though..?"
"Aha, in the end it was all a drama huh?", the prince laughed pitifully. He really thought she was different for a second there...
"Say, what you want ! I wont say no-", the Prince told.
"Remember my prince, you did say you wont say no to this and you cant go back on your words!", Marlin smirked.
"Sure"
"Grant me the permission to spend time with your highness whenever i want. Done , hehe!", Marlin smiled gracefully.
"Pardon..?"
"Yes, exactly what you heard. Now no going back your highness keke", Marlin gave an evil laugh.
