Kapitel 70: At Last

It looked to Vion like this lady was drooling.

[Maybe it is my imagination], Vion thought. He had been told and had agreed that he had an overactive imagination. So, Vion wondered if that was what was coming to play here.

"Take. Have it", the lady said.

Something occurred to Vion.

He counted five of the coins and said; "Please... for all your troubles and your help gathering them for me", Vion said as he stretched out his hand that held the coins. The sunlight beaming through the window behind them making the coins shine brighter.

That was the first time the lady looked at Vion in the face.

She was taller than he was and Vion noticed that she was a pretty one too. He observed her ad waited for her next reaction.

Vion was even ready to be slapped. That is if she took offense at him offering her money.
