Kapitel 108: Chapter 108: Bathed in Love

River

After a long day of hearing Lance’s citizens vocalize their problems with their neighbors, River was glad to be back home with Ellie. One of their homes, anyway. They were keeping a house in each of their packs. He thought there might be a way to unite the packs and build a house in the middle, but there were several miles between their two villages, even though their packlands were near one another with no other packs in between. If they tried to move their home to a more central location, they might end up not being effective in either pack, and that simply wouldn’t do.

His mother had moved out, just like Michael had. It was strange, pulling into the driveway of the house that he’d shared with his mom for his entire life, knowing that she wasn’t there. Granted, she was only a few houses down and a mind-link message away if he needed her, but it wasn’t the same as actually having her down the hallway.

But it did give River and Ellie a lot more privacy.
