"Don't worry little lady. We are adventurers, we won't hurt you." said the man next to the one called Ronald.
'Adventurers?'
"That makes us sound really suspicious if you say it like that Lin." said a woman who was situated behind the two.
'Should I kill em? I am a monster after all. Well demon now I guess.'
"Sorry for those two little one. They don't know how to talk to kids."
'Can they just leave already? This is kinda my house now so can I kick them out?'
Just as Mizuki thought that, a notification screen popped out infront of her.
[The dungeon -Tomb of the Technomancer- is now in your possession due to you killing the previous dungeon lord]
[Title Dungeon Lord gained]
[Dungeon Lord - A title given to those that have possession over a dungeon. Gain the ability to edit the dungeon as you see fit.]
'Edit the dungeon as I see fit? A very broad statement. If that is the case can I edit it so that this group of home intruders get kicked out of the dungeon?'
[Kick party -Grace of Wind- out of your dungeon?]
"So little one. Can you tell this big sister here yo-"
And they are gone.
[Due to the fact that this dungeon does not have a teleportation circle to move between floors the party -Grace of Wind- has been moved to a random location within a 2 kilometer radius of the dungeon.]
"Good. I hope they don't come back. Now, it's time to renovate this place~!" said Mizuki while cracking her knuckles.
...
A few minutes prior.
"Oi Ronald! Protect Sam!" yelled Lin while deflecting the attacks of the robotic orc wielding an axe.
"On it!" responded Ronald as he ran towards Sam with his greatshield in hand.
Sam finished her chant and shot a sharp blade of wind towards the robot orc. Finally decapatating it.
"Why the hell was there a sudden Lv spike? These orc robots are tough as sh*t!"
"No idea Sam. But we should almost be at the boss. We can most likely finish it quick if you prepare that tornado spell."
"It's called 'The Gale of Wind' Lin. Our party is named after it remember?"
"Didn't ask, Sam. Just prepare the spell for the boss while Ronald is getting aggro."
"But we don't know anything about the boss remember? His royal highness the prince let us know about the existance of the dungeon a month ago. We're the first ones here so we have the dissadvantage of not having any info." said Ronald.
"Well yeah but we are lucky to be the first ones here too right? We might just find the kid the highness is searching for alive in here if we are lucky and get some extra pay while we get the first clear reward along with the assosiation quest." said Sam, counting all the possible rewards.
"Do you really think a kid can survive in here for more than a month? Honestly I think there's a bigger chance for the kid to either be dead or them to have never even approached this place." stated Lin, looking at the logical side of things.
"Well probably not but who knows? A famous faction can boost up a kid to tier 4 with only 8 years of training. The kid might just be really strong."
"I really doubt that Sam. That would be outstanding growth only shown by the most monstrous of geniuses. Remember how long it took us to reach tier 3? Hell. Ronald can basically be called an old man."
"Shut up Lin! I'm only in my 30's!"
The party of adventurers continued through the dungeon with this type of atmosphere and some playful banter.
After a few minutes they had found the fourth set of stairs and headed down.
"The last floor looks more like a lab than a dungeon." Ronald said his thoughts out loud while touching the lightly humming walls of the dungeon.
"The name of this dungeon was -Tomb of the Technomancer- right? Do you think it's 'her' tomb?" asked Lin with a small tremble in his voice.
"Okay, no. Don't be an idiot Lin. The arch demon Shiro is a fairytale that's told to kids to keep em away from entering the demonic woods and the like." said Sam with ridicule.
"Yeah, yeah I know. The saying 'curiosity killed the cat' became a thing because of her and the stories about her right. 'The curious one who acted against the gods and flipped the heavens upside down with the push of a button to satisfy her quench for knowledge got her divinity sealed and killed within the realm of gods. Now it is forbidden to rely on technology to gain strength. The one who created the system that shackles even the gods, Shiro Murasaki the demon of technology.' that's basically the entire story right?" said Lin, recounting the story he had heard from when he was a kid.
"Yep that's the one. But I'm suprised that you remember that old childrens horror story."
"Well there are a lot of different versions of it so I just told the story I heard from the kids at the capital that tell this story to one another every so often to get a scare."
"Hey guys. I see a door over there." said Ronald, butting into the conversation.
"Finally the boss room ey? Sam start chanting the spell already. Me and Ronald will keep the boss occupied." said Lin with a serious look in his eyes.
"Already on it." said Sam, chanting in an unknown language while a light green magic circle started to form above her head.
"Ok then. Let's do this guys. Ready?" Lin asked for a final confirmation.
""Ready."" said Sam and Ronald at the same time.
Lin opened the door and rushed in.
But all that was in the room was a white and black looking cocoon. As the party did not find any sign of literally anything else, they guessed that the cocoon was the boss and would hatch some time soon.
The party stayed in the room and waited.
They waited and waited. Soon enough, 3 days had passed and they were running low on food.
"Let's just leave already and come back some other time~"
"I agree with Sam. This has taken way too long to be a trial of patiance or whatever."
"Let's start packing up then."
The moment that Ronald said this and reached his hand out for his stuff, the party froze.
They heard a crack from behind them.
They turned around and prepared to fight.
'Maybe it was just a really long trial of patience?' was the thought that showed up in their mind for a split second as they focused back on the cocoon.
After a few seconds a delicate hand punched through the top of the cocoon.
The force of the punch alone sent out a slight shockwave of wind as Ronald and Lin started to pale slightly.
A figure stood up and exerted a massive amount of pressure. The fighters of the group got into a defensive stance out of instinct.
'This pressure is worse than the A rank adventurers that I have met.'
'Teachers aura would pale in comparison.'
There was a beauty with calf length silver hair and sheep horns on the side of her head.
The ambient mana from the cocoon blocked anyone from seeing anything private.
Clothes appeared on the kid when the party was too busy shaking in their boots. Exept for Sam.
She was a mage and had never felt any oppressive aura so she just saw her as a kid in a dungeon.
'A demi human? Maybe it's the kid that his highness is looking for.'
After donning the oversized labcoat the kid started to mutter to herself. Lin and Ronald were already on guard so when they heard her muttering they readied to attack in fear of her launching some sort of spell.
Before they could attack, Sam slapped the back of their heads amd whispered to them.
"Look. It's just a kid. Seems to be a demi human sheepkin. Do you really think she could defeat three tier 3 adventurers?" Sam asked confused as to why they raised their weapons.
"Hmm~" a gentle hmm, a bell like voice was heard from the child as it calmed the men down slightly but they keeped on guard as to not get taken by surprise.
'That is not the aura of a kid. But I can not try to kill her now. Sam might try to stop me. She has a weak spot for kids afterall.'
Ronald was the first to speak up.
"Excuse me young lady." and the rest is already known.
"Holy sh*t!"
...
"Why did we suddenly get transported to the middle of absolutely fucking no where!?!" screamed Sam as she ran from a pack of panthers.
"How am I supposed to know?!" Lin yelled back.
"Both of you shut the f*ck up!" said Ronald with a harsh voice.
"Just keep running! We're bound to get back to the city soon so we can give the info to the assosiation and get a good reward!"
"What about the girl?!" yelled Sam.
"She aint no ordinary kid! She could have killed us with a breath if she wanted to! I would rather be chased by these f*ckers than be stuck in the dungeon with someone who was leagues above a dungeon boss!"
"Forget dungeon boss Lin she was more like a roaming raid boss rank!"
"Huhh!!?"
"We can talk about it later Sam! Is your spell ready yet."
"Yep!"
Sam cast her spell as an explosion wiped out the chasing panthers while the following gust of wind blew their bodies into the surrounding foliage.
"Haaah~ Lucky~" Lin let out a large sigh as he said.
"You bet. Now let's go back to the city. If I'm not wrong it should be north of the dungeon so let's just head that way we should find it eventually." said Ronald.
"You better explain how that girl was dangerous on the way. I looked into her eyes and all I saw was childish wonder. To be honest she was the cutest little f*cking thing I have seen in my entire life." explained Sam while catching her breath.
"Right, right. So you know how I was trained by one of the sword saints?"
...
While this was happening and the story was being recounted for the third time Mizuki was editing the dungeon to her liking when she suddenly felt a chill up her spine.
"I don't like this feeling. Like someone is talking about me."
