"You love him, don't you?" Clancy asked, already knowing the answer.

Beatrice closed her eyes and was met with the visual of him, and their first encounter. "I don't know, Clancy." She answered honestly. "Can a mortal truly love a demon? Or is my feelings for him a byproduct? Do I love him because that is his lure? Demons are very beautiful creatures when they want to be."
