She started to cry. Clancy comforted her, " Awww, now. Your Majesty, please, don't fall apart. Please. I'm here. I will not let you go through labor alone or this pregnancy. I know it can be a scary thought."
Beatrice looked at Clancy. "What are you talking about, Clancy?" She asked.
"I thought Your Majesty was scared to be pregnant." Beatrice laughed an empty laugh.
"No, I'm not scared of a life growing inside of me. I am scared because this child isn't William's, and he must never know."

After destroying the bronze trash bin, Beatrice with the help of Clancy, was taken to her bed chambers. She was undressed, and put into bed. Clancy went herself to fetch the royal physician, who upon further examination of Beatrice, along with performing a pregnancy test by dipping a white ribbon into a small pot of her fresh urine, which when done she had looked on bewildered as he put it to her nose.
