Kapitel 43: Enemy at risk
Agni comes home with an expensive necklace and gives it to Matteo's mother, "aunt? I bought this necklace specifically for Nisha, but you know Nisha hasn't gotten over her hatred for me. I want you to give Nisha as a gift from you,to test her loyalty towards you"
Matteo's mom agrees to this, it seems Agni has set another trap for Nisha. Agni calls a cloth seller to the house, Nisha out of excitement spends all of her monthly allowance to buy herself multiple dresses. Nisha's mother in-law, Mitra,brings the necklace that Agni gave her and offers to Nisha in front of the family, " my dear,I bought this necklace specially for you so you have it,since tomorrow is the day on which is the village mother's in law honour their daughters in law, and I want you to wear this in front of my friends "
Nisha takes the jewelry and puts it safely in her wardrobe. Agni calls the man whom Nisha made a deal with so they can forward their plan. The man,then,calls Nisha to demand for his money," Nisha it's me,am calling to ask you for my money. I lost my deal and money so now pay me"
Nisha tries to calm him down but he tells Nisha he's on his way to the house. He comes home and starts to threaten Nisha, " listen to me,don't play mind games with me,give me the money or I tell your family so you will be in more trouble again"
Nisha out of desperation, gives the man her jewelry to the man to keep his mouth shut. The honouring day is here and Nisha has no idea what jewelry to wear as she used the one her mother in-law gave her to pay her debt. Nisha wears a different jewelry and covers her neck with a scarf so no one would see it. But in the event of things,the house fan blows the scarf off. Mitra is shocked to see that Nisha is not wearing the necklace, " why are you not wearing the necklace, I gave it to you with so much love and trust but you disappointed me by leaving me embarrassed in front of everyone "
Matteo sees this and is furious,he takes Nisha to the bedroom and scolds her, " I can't believe how uncaring you are! I thought you were better than Agni, but I've realised that she is much better than you, no matter what you do, you will be nothing like her. I wish I didn't server my ties with her, I regret it"
Nisha upon hearing this realizes her game could be up. Matteo leaves the room and Nisha is mad," I hate to be compared to Agni, I'll make that woman,Mitra pay so dearly for making my husband say those hateful words to me"
