Kapitel 40: The comeback
Agni goes up to her room, so she can take a rest. Nisha starts to speak on the phone, thus making Agni's tracker beep as a way of notifying her. Sh quickly jumps out of bed,and records Nisha's conversation which takes 15 minutes. When Nisha ends the call,Agni listens to the recorded conversation knowing all about Nisha's next move.
The day after, Mira and the rest of the family except Matteo and Nisha sneak into Agni's room to surprise her. Agni awakes and she finds herself surrounded by the family who surprise her, " surprise! happy birthday Agni! "
Agni feels so special and she sheds a tear," thank you my dearest family, I forgot about my own birthday but all of you remembered, thank you "
Kel tells the family they should make a small party to celebrate Agni. The birthday girl objects to this idea as she is worried Nisha might do something stupid. Nisha walks into the room and convinces Kel to throw the party, " uncle don't listen to the birthday girl, she just doesn't want to put you through all the trouble but I personally promise you make the arrangements "
Agni tries to argue but Kel gives in to Nisha's demands and this makes Agni even more worried and concerned. When the family goes downstairs, Nisha starts to threaten Agni, " What's wrong darling? are you feeling scared? you are worried about what I might do to you or your family tonight I can feel it. But don't worry, just keep looking out,because you don't know when I might strike"
Nisha goes to the rest of the family. Agni is left feeling restless. The family begins with the party arrangements. By mid afternoon, all of the arrangements are done. The guests arrive and the family is ready they start to welcome the arriving guests. As Nisha is getting ready she comes up with a plan to make Agni uncomfortable at her own party, " I always try to make you get into trouble but but today,you will put yourself in trouble, I will deceive you, by making you think am up to something but I'll actually stay clean...haha...this is going to be fun"
The party begins and everyone is enjoying the party. Nisha executes her first plan,she stands in Agni's sight,calls the waiter,and hands him a certain substance to add to Riswan's juice. Agni hears this conversation and is set to ruin it. Nisha walks to a suspicious looking man,she talks to him,starts looking at the chandelier while pointing at Ishan. Agni sees this and she gets scared. Nisha moves on to the third plan,she hands a knife to another suspicious looking man and points at Kel,making Agni even more scared. It is time to give gifts to Agni. Mira gifts Agni with a real gold necklace, Kel buys his daughter a brand new car,Riswan and Salma give her golden earrings, Anjali and Mark give her property papers to a new house they bought her,Tony and his wife gift her a cheque of a huge sum of money to add to help with the orphanage expenses. Agni thanks everyone for their presents," thank you so much am very grateful "
Tony asks Ishan and Matteo to give their sister her birthday presents. Ishan gives his sister a big frame with a photo of both of them in it. Agni thanks her little brother. Nisha tells Agni she has a big surprise for her later at the party. However Matteo refuses two give Agni anything, " I don't have any gift for Agni, she'll just end up throwing the gift and bringing it back to me if I give it"
Agni feels hurt but she doesn't let this get in the way of her party. A while later, Agni is fed up with the suspense, without a second thought, Agni walks to the man standing near the chandelier, grabs his hand and throws him out of the house, she walks to the man holding the knife, grabs his hand and throws him out, she walks to the waiter who is trying to give Riswan a cup of juice. She takes the cup and throws it to the floor. The guests are surprised to see this behavior from their leader and so the family. Kel asks her why she did that, Agni tells her father everything, " father? the men I threw out are not ordinary at all,one of them has a knife so he can stab you, the second one wanted to poison grandfather's juice,the other one was asked to cut the chandelier rope so it could fall on Ishan! "
Riswan apologises to the party guests and asks them to leave. He asks Agni if she knows who sent the men. Agni tells them Nisha did. Matteo gets furious," how dare you accuse my wife like that" Nisha agrees to have called the men,just as Agni thinks Nisha will be exposed, the evil mistress turns the table's on Agni," I did bring those men here,yes I agree but you misunderstood me and all my intentions... I gave that man a knife and pointed at uncle so he can give it to him before the cake arrived, I gave the waiter a substance to add to the juice,but it wasn't poison, it was grandpa's medicine since he hates taking it directly, and as for the chandelier, the rope was getting rotten an I was scared it might fall on Ishan and the men are my cousins but you embarrassed them in front of everyone"
Kel tells Agni he knew about the plan involving the knife," She baked a very big cake as a surprise, she handed a knife to me so year wouldn't know "
Matteo gets a chance to blast Agni with words," you are so selfish, my wife put all her effort in this and the best way to thank her is insulting her like this and throwing her cousins out of the house!"
Nisha rubs more salt into the wounds," I know you hate me so much Agni, but for once please trust me"
Nisha fakes crying as Matteo takes her to their room. The entire family goes to their rooms and leave Agni alone. A frustrated Agni goes to her room, throws herself on her bed an falls asleep soon.
