Fang had only been out of sight for a few moments, but Selene already felt the pangs of loneliness creeping in. She was feeling giddy, yet restless. She sighed, trying to shake off the feeling. Determined to keep herself busy, she started looking for food around the clearing trying to keep herself from the thoughts of following Fang. As she foraged, she made sure to mark the trees around her, creating a small perimeter she could navigate without getting lost.
It had been some time and she was starting to get hungry.
As Selene had walked around she had found a cluster of berry bushes and plucked a few, savoring their sweet-tart flavor. As she ate, she heard a rustle behind her. She tensed, scanning the forest for any sign of Fang. Assuming it was an animal, she went back to eating a few more of the berries when she heard the rustle again, making her alert.
The sound moved closer and a cold, familiar voice cut through the air.
