November 17th
As Leo scrubbed dried blood off his hands, I went back to the hall to take off my shoes.
My phone buzz in my pocket with a notification from Amber.
"Who's texting you?" Leo asked from the kitchen.
Shit. Operation lie to Leo is a go.
"Oh nobody," I replied, stuffing my phone back into my pocket.
"How can nobody text you? He doesn't even have a phone," Leo questioned.
He was still tipsy. Maybe this wouldn't be too hard.
"Just somebody from school."
"Can I see then?" He asked, raising an eyebrow and holding his now clean hand out to take my phone.
"Do you not trust me?" I questioned.
"Of course I don't fucking trust you," he said, "give it to me."
I forced half a smile before placing it in his palm.
"Amber Valentinetti?" Leo stated, his voice deepening. "One of them goes to your school, you say?"
"Just because you've slept with her doesn't mean we can't be friends. We have at least one thing in common..."
He swallowed and shifted his eyes away.
