Kapitel 146: Chapter 84 - I Want That

Kuoh Town, Kuoh Pharmaceuticals Roof,

Aransae sat on the ledge of the roof, gazing at the night sky. He heard the footsteps coming from behind him, until they stopped near him, "were you ever jealous of them?"

"Jealous," the purple-haired girl stood beside him, resting one hand on the katana on her waist. She gazed over the town at night, glimmering here and there, "Envious would be the right word."

"I am not comfortable with crowds anymore," Aransae muttered.

"I see."

"Then I look at them, and she's always beside him and he's with her. I want that too. I want someone to stand beside me and help me through it."

"You have your Peerage."

"I do...but what they believed in wasn't a boy, lost and stumbling in the dark. They believed in the Dungeon Master. I want someone I can be a boy with."

"And of all people. You chose me?" Saeko closed her eyes, smiling, "I am more interested in men. No one is better than Aurum. I won't go for anything less."

"You think I am less?"

Saeko opened her blue eyes to look at him, "No. I am not ready for one. Not when he selfishly decided to kill himself without saying a word."

"He's not dead..."

"Did you meet his new avatars?"

"Only one of them. The other one is far too dangerous to even go near," Aransae shook his head, "he's smart...but he lacks that spark that Aurum carried. If Aurum was a roaring, walking disaster, then Aurelius is the silent death."

"You should have Eve stay by your side. It must be torture for her. Being beside the man who reminds her of her of the man she loves. Yet, everything he does only reminds her of the man he is not."

"Yet, she's going to stick by his side," Aransae muttered.

"You want that."

"Yes."

Saeko patted his back, "Did you know. He asked me to help you even if you come for us."

"Why?"

"For him...you were lost. Like he was a long, long time ago."

"He was?"

"As children, they lived in an orphanage. Eve was six then, and her cuteness attracted the wrong crowd to adopt them. One day, the director of the orphanage tried to force himself on her. One of the workers mistakingly interrupted and saved her that day. He also learned of it when Eve cried to him. As a boy, he was lost...about how it could happen or why. He was lost because he didn't understand the evil of the world. He was lost because he didn't understand her beauty. Lost…until he decided to kill the director. That time when he was conflicted with what's right and wrong, which path he should take...you must have reminded him of them."

"Haha, so I am six-year-old," Aransae scratched his cheek.

"No, be it men or women. They might not make that decision throughout their life. Some do, but none at that young age. You are old enough," Saeko patted his back. She gazed into the distance, "I miss him..."

"I don't understand. To me, he's alive."

"Yeah..." Saeko took a deep breath. She whispered, "are you scared...they won't like who you are now?"

"Probably," Aransae rested his palm on his chest, "I am changing every day. For them, what is a day, could be a year for me. And when I go back, I'd be a different person. Would they like me then...?"

"I don't know. Ask her," Saeko pulled away from him, which made him turn to look back, only to notice a wave of crimson from the corner of his eyes. He shifted his gaze towards Rias, floating in the sky, flapping her wings.

"I would. Master."

Rias floated in front of him, closing the distance between them. She grabbed his palm, "I know what you want, Master."

"What I want?"

"Yes. Let's go back to the Dungeon."

"Dungeon?"

"Yes, that where you feel safe. Don't you?" Rias cupped his cheek, "You have been through stuff. You need time to deal with it. Let's go back to the Dungeon and you can take all the time you need."

"I don't want to deal with this Tri-Party meeting. I am not ready yet."

"Ok, can you increase the time of the Dungeon?"

"Yes."

"Then do that. It's about time the Gremory Peerage takes a long break. A holiday. I need one too before I handle that parents visiting day."

"You don't mind?"

"I mind. I mind that you didn't come and talk to me," Rias kissed his cheek, "Please come to me next time."

"How did you know?"

Rias looked towards Saeko, and Aransae followed her eyes.

Saeko calmly explained, "You need to trust her. Aurelius told me you will run away from people close to you. If you come to us…we should help you bring together."

Aransae chuckled, "I see. That part of him hasn't changed."

Rias kissed his cheek, "Master, give me some time to prepare. Till then, why don't you go and prepare a holiday home."

"You are asking the person who never took a holiday."

Rias smiled, "I'll send Akeno first."

"Ok."

"I'll see you there..."

"Ok."

Rias kissed his lips, "Master..."

"Yeah?"

"I am here for you."

Saeko sighed. She lightly jumped, landing on the ledge, "why don't I go and relay the message to your friends. You two make your way to the Dungeon."

"Oh..."

"Wait, Saeko," Aransae tried to stop her, but she already leaped. He created a magic circle in front of her, in midair, and she disappeared inside of it.

"You can do that?" Rias raised her eyebrows, impressed.

"I'll teach you. Later."
