Kapitel 41: Therapeutic relationship?

"Since when?" Ivan frowned.

"Since forever," Athan answered. "The relationship between the client and therapist is supposed to be only a therapeutic one."

"And having romantic or social relationships with their clients is considered unethical. So four out of five therapists avoid it," Jason added.

Scrunching his brows, Ivan remarked, "Why didn't I know this? And even if this is the case then why should it bother me? It's not like I want to be friends or get romantically involved with her." Passing them a can of beer each, he added, "You both overreacted for nothing."

Raising his brows, Jason asked, "You sure you don't want anything more from her?" When Ivan frowned, he smirked, "You just had a brief interaction with her, you can still turn back."

"I don't think they can, I am sure she already registered him. Did you fill in any form or did she ask for your details like address and all?" Athan asked.

He shook his head and answered, "No, in fact I didn't even pay for the first session. She told me it was free and a trial session for me to decide if I wanted to come back."

"I don't know bro, you just had your first session with her so therapeutically she is your therapist now." Helplessly shaking his head, Athan sighed, "What a bummer, another young, beautiful woman gone. But we can fix this, you can give me her number and—"

Cutting him off, Ivan scoffed, "No way I am giving you her number."

"Are you a friend or foe?"

Ignoring his remark, Ivan kept sipping his beer with his thoughts wandering around the things he had learned from Jason and Athan.

ASGARD CITY

Situated in the north of the Mossmorr valley, Asgard, also known as the city of the Warriors, was home for the most ancient pack of werewolves known as the Bitter Guardians.

"So you are back again without your brother." When Adrian did not say anything, Ernouf sighed, "If you can't handle him, I—"

Cutting him off, Adrian calmly stated, "I can handle my brother, you should focus on other things."

"You are not handling him the way you should." Walking towards him, Ernouf added, "If you would have used your alpha—"

"Athan is my brother, I am his guardian and if he wants to do something that is making him happy, he has my support," Adrian remarked.

"He is not performing his duties—"

"He will do whatever he has to. Though he has the liberty to do something that is making him happy, that doesn't mean he can turn his back and not perform his duties." Adrian stated before walking away, leaving no room for further discussion.

Elisberg City

The Saint building.

Glancing at the watch, Amber was pacing back and forth inside her office with her phone pressed against her ears.

"Come on Renna, pick up the call," she muttered before calling her again.

Just then Ivan entered the room. "I am sorry, I did not knock—the door was open so—"

"No it's alright, have a seat," she invited him in. Walking towards the desk, she picked up a form and gave it to him. "I need to make an urgent phone call and I promise it won't take long. Meanwhile, why don't you fill this up?"

"What is it?"

"It's just a formal form, I need some minor details—it's like a free registration," she answered before passing him a pen.

Awkwardly clearing his throat, he hesitated for a while before explaining himself. "Actually I wanted to talk to you about something."

"What is it?"

"I don't think I need a therapist."
