Kapitel 157: Hunting Special Prey

Once Mattheus got into the rough routine of things, the twenty-one-year-old found the Wild Hunt strangely like a road trip, if the slightest bit more entertaining.

This was mostly because Mattheus was the only member of the hunting party not actually hunting.

He spent most of his focus when the Wild Hunt slept either on keeping an eye on growing the virus in cultures in the mobile lab—the System creating a small perimeter with some warding stones and a constant low-level drain on his energy to keep any potential accidents contained—or heading into communities to investigate the epidemic.

When it was a sick group of people, the twenty-one-year-old pulled the fatally ill from death, healed enough of the others that the community would not be overwhelmed with the ratio of sick to healthy people, and left a tiny vial of healing water that administered one drop at a time.
