A city that came to be from an alliance between the dwarfs and the dökkálfar, colloquially called dark elves because of their eyes, which was why Mecane had a higher concentration of these two particular races than anywhere else in Yuropa outside the Glittering Mountain's Black Iron Hall and the mystical Dra'zzt-yh-Vanheimr—which may or may not exist.

Mattheus and Brunilda were currently in this nameless underground city with Yngvarr, sitting at a watering hole the mechanist preferred after going through what appeared to be a giant manhole and heading down several hundred meters from the surface.
