'Why would you do that?' I asked him through my mind as he had left me breathless. 'In front of everyone, that too?'

'Just another dare you were asking for,' he said nonchalantly, not breaking his gaze for even a fraction of a second. 'If you can take a challenging task without discerning the danger that you are taking upon yourself, then why not add another one?'

He cocked his head and stared straight into my eyes with his pure black ones that held no reflection. I felt him watch my throat and chest move up and down from the lack of breath. We were both in a trance for, in the little moonlight, that penetrated through the gaps between the curtains, his side profile was lit up. His face looked gaunter than ever like he had been patiently waiting to fulfil that promise. As for me, it looked like he was looking for a better place to get a good bite from.
