Kapitel 18: Talia: p2

Tiana's point of view:

" Her curse wasn't activated, but yours is activated. That was the reason your father stopped you from drinking human blood, because he was afraid you would activate your curse, and all the truth would be relieved. Tonight is a full moon, and if you shift, they will know that you are a hybrid now, and they will kill you. The only way to keep your identity is by wearing the necklace of your mother."

My entire world started fading while I started thinking about her each and every word. Part of me wanted to not believe what she was saying, but it really makes sense.

" My father wouldn't such a thing!" I tried to shut her up, but all I did was to get her angry.

" Your father has done worse than you could imagine. He took my little child and stole her life while she was still young."

"Shut the hell up!" I shouted while still squeezing her in the corner of the wall. "My father loved my mother, she was too weak to face the life that she took her life on her own."

My world seemed quite poisonous that her eyes color shifted to red, then with one move, she threw my entire body away from hers.

" Use your good for nothing brain once in your life. Why the hell would she end her life on her own, meanwhile she had it all. Beauty, life, family, a daughter that she loved more than herself."

" I'm not listening!" I tried to cover my ears with my hands while rejecting all thoughts and ideas that she was planting on my mind. The truth was that my kind was curving for each and every element she was talking about. What she told me in those few minutes seemed more logical than anything my father told me about in his entire life,

" He wanted to kill the wolf inside of her and make her a vampire like him. The thing is that the werewolves' gene in her blood didn't accept the vampire gene from your father's blood. He expected her to be resurrected a few hours after that he killed her in human form, the thing is that she never wake up."

Tears slid from her eyes, and she wasn't able to control her emotions. I wanted to believe her, but it's no way that my father could be such a cruel monster.

I stood on my feet, then ran my hand through my hair while thinking what could be my next move. Then, it all comes to my mind.

Her blood is the answer to the entire situation. If she agreed to give me even a drop from her blood, I can if she's telling the truth or not. And if she doesn't then I'll have no choice but to take it on my own.

"There's a way which I can tell if you're telling the truth."

"Which is?" She confidently asked, and I kind of appreciated her confidence.

Give me a drop from your blood, then I can see through your memories, and tell if you're honest or not."

Right away I was able to detect the change of her heartbeat's rhythm. Based on that change, she might be really hiding something.

Without waiting for her answer, and without giving her time to dodge away. I attacked her and started sucking the blood out of her neck.

Although it all happened fast yet, what I've seen in her mind could be a cliff change in my life

I saw a girl, a human girl that seemed in my age. She was so beautiful and was totally looking like me.

She wasn't on her own, a vampire male was by her side. A vampire that I do recognize to be my father.

They were both in the middle of a lustful kiss when Juan broke in. She started pleading with the girl aka. my mother to stay away from my father while calling him a monster.

My mother apologized to her mother and said that she loved him, then left along with my father.

Right after, the entire scene changed. It was Juana again, and on her own was my lifeless mother. My father stood there emotionally, then informed Juana that she was too weak than to handle the vampire gene that he gifted her with.

Juana started crying and sobbing while promising my father that she would avenge her daughter's murder.

The scene changed again, and Juana showed up standing with my mother's lifeless body on what seemed to be an altar. Meanwhile, witches circled them, and before that, I was able to see further…

Sparks flew over my shoulder, informing me that Tristan had a child on my shoulder. Then I was thrown on the nearest wall. It was Tristan; he released Juana from my hand.

Noticing that I went too far drinking her blood. I ran towards her, then apologized.

" I'm sorry, I didn't mean!"

" That's alright my child…" She started but was entrapped by Tristan, who was trying to protect Juana from.

" Stay away from her… You almost killed her and all you have to say is that you're sorry. Instead of being grateful for her for being the only one in the pack who accepted taking care of a monster like you, that's how you show your gratitude."

Before that I spoke a thing, Juana's voice spoke through my mind while Tristan was taking her out of my room.

" That's alright child! Tonight it's a full moon, remember to wear the necklace. I'll get you out of her this night… So, don't worry!"

I nodded my head without saying a word, informing her that I'll do as I'm told to do.
