"That bastard," his voice was filled with venom, "Nevermind. I can simply have you shift now."

She swallowed hard, "You said doing it right away is painful."

His gaze dimmed, "It is for the best."

But it will make her weak, it will make her a monster. And she might just die. Why was Izekiel so persistent in doing this?

Was it only to have her completely be removed from the threats he possessed? As long as she had her spiritual element, she could keep the keys with her until the moment of her death.

Does he want to make sure that there is no possibility of that?

And what of the keys, they can not be used anytime soon. Not until centuries have passed...then why...?

"How long will it take?" she didn't care to hide the solemness of her voice, "Can it be over in an instant?"

"It will take some time to completely soak into your soul."

"And the pain? Will it linger?"

"For a couple of days."
