Kapitel 66: End of The Begining

"It's over,"

The priest declared, his words making creating a complete silence all over. A proud grin took hints upon his lips. Despite him being the high priest, he was still ranked lower, and if he could capture the queen and eliminate him then that would mean him climbing the hierarchy quicker.

Now that he had broken the news, he was sure that Johanna would be dejected and it would be easier to capture her.

No one could believe what he said, they all knew that the council was strong but the emperor on the other had never been defeated.

Why would he resort to surrender?

It was basically death, fighting might have gotten the odds in his favor....then why?

Nesrin could not believe her ears.

Izekiel would never do that, she knew him better. He was a warrior at the core, a stubborn one on the top of that. If he was the same Izekiel she had read about, then he would rather die than surrender.

"You are lying..."

Nesrin whispered.
