The faint sunlight of winter softly streamed inside the room. Izekiel was given the time of a week, by the council, to either prove his innocence through trial or surrender himself.
Those seven days were coming to an end and the new year was only a month away.
Nesrin was sitting in front of the study table, looking through a few documents when the sunlight made her brown eyes look a deep shade of golden.
"This is great," she smiled and glanced at Malcolm, "How did you know?"
"Some of the spies were supposed to report to me," he stated with a grim expression.
Nesrin wondered what made him like that, she was almost getting used to his permanent scowl.
"How is Lady Hanbel doing?"
"Fine,"
"The medicines are working alright I suppose?"
Malcolm nodded.
