Kapitel 165: Life in Kalas

Night entwined with the day as Zeir and Agatha waited for Hamza to wake up. She dozed off several times on Zeir's shoulder. Every time a shiver charged through her spine, making her members twitch and not letting her rest.

Waiting seemed to be the hardest thing for Agatha. Not being able to do anything, just sitting and gazing upon the motionless man lying on the crooked floor. She felt her whole life had been waiting for something as time passed by her unnoticed. Now was the time she would find the truth. This could set her free or doom her soul to the abyss of despair along with all her hopes.

The moment when Hamza's eyelids fluttered, Agatha darted next to him. "Are you awake, Hamza?"

"I think so," he replied, getting up on his elbows. "What happened?"

His filthy hands massaged his eyes, further smearing his face. His stomach made a loud noise. Zeir threw him in return a piece of smoked meat they had stowed in their backpack.
