Yakov swiftly reloaded his semi-automatic handgun and aimed at the row of Xermo that were coming in his direction. His eyes narrowed when he noticed that they were going even faster and faster. It was as if the ones they faced now were the mutated Xermo rather than the ordinary Xermo.

"Will, they're getting faster. I won't be able to hold them off for long."

William narrowed his eyes. They have limited power and trying to hold on the Xermo in this method wouldn't last long. "Any buildings nearby?"

"There's school, orphanage, and several small stores in this area," Gloria responded almost immediately. It looked as if she had completely memorized the map for the entire area, which allowed her to be able to answer the inquiry from others very quickly.
