Kapitel 13: The Help and The Runaway
Walking slowly towards to us. Every step makes me nervous for some reason.
*It's really impossible to defeat him.*
We don't have any knowledge about him or about his amulet. He was able to dodge every attack. He can finish this fight without taking any scratch.
*What should I do?*
I try to get up from the ground. I hold my katana tightly. My body is shaking because of the pain.
"It looks like this is where we gonna die huh.", Rick said while trying to get up also.
"We still have two choices here, it is to die with this guy or to survive."
"It doesn't matter what your choice as long as we can kill this guy."
"It looks like you can still fight, so who's gonna first.", The Outsider said while cracking his finger.
After cracking his fingers, he walks faster than before, and after that, he begins to run.
"Don't worry, I'll make your death painless as much as I can."
*This is bad.*
"It's do or die now, Greg!"
I hold my katana more tightly while Rick aims his gun at the Outsider.
The Outsider is already in our front ready to grab us when...
"Electric shock!"
"Huh?"
The Outsider jumps back to dodge the lightning that will strike him.
"Why not face me, baldy"
A girl with long black hair and blue eyes appears at our back. She has dozens of men behind her holding their weapons, they all wearing black with white line uniforms.
"Who is she?", I asked Rick.
"She's the Vice Commander of A-2 Headquarters. Her name is Relaine."
"Vice Commander?"
"What a bad timing Vice Commander."
"Shut up and take this!"
The girl put her hands on the ground, after that, there's lightning appear on her hands and transfer it to the ground. The lightning runs towards the Outsider, but it will pass through us first.
"Let's getaway!"
"Don't worry"
"Huh?"
The lightning is so fast the I can even take a step before it hits me. But when it passes through us there's nothing I can feel.
"What!?"
My body didn't even burn or something that hurt.
"I told you."
"But how?"
"A-2 Vice Commander's amulet can produce lightning, but not just that, it can pass through anything, even it is an insulator."
"Really?"
"Yeah, she can also perfectly control her power that it can pass in other living things without hurting them."
"I see."
*That's why we didn't take any damage from her lightning.*
The lightning already near to the Outsider, he jumps back to dodge.
"Tsk. I will surely hit you in my next attack."
"It looks like I'm in big trouble here."
The girl places her hand on her front while it's wide open. The sky gets darker.
"Now, electrocute!"
Closing her hands, the lightning from the sky strikes the Outsider. It's so strong that we almost flew away.
"How's that, baldy."
There's no trace left to the Outsider.
"She really did kill him."
"Yeah, as I expected to the Vice Commander."
"Hey, you two, do you still alive?"
"Yeah, thanks for that."
"Hmm, you look new to me. A new member?"
"Yeah, actually they're three of them."
"Three of them? That's a lot."
The Vice Commander stare at me for five seconds.
"Hmmm. I see I see."
"Um."
"Oh, don't mind me. Well, I already kill that bastard, you two are safe now. You should go home now."
"Aye aye miss Relaine.", Rick said while giving a salute to the girl.
The girl and her group walk away already.
"It looks like our mission runs smoothly isn't it?"
"Smoothly? We actually almost die there."
"Doesn't matter as long as we finish the job."
Before we went back to the headquarters, we rest for a little to get back some energy that loses in our fight.

"There's no still sign of Outsider here."
"Yeah, maybe it got away before we know it."
Darius and I are already at our location but there's no sign of any Outsider here. We walk to another place but it's hopeless.
"I'm so tired now."
"We should rest first."
We decide to sit at the nearest trees.
"It's still hot here, maybe I should cool this place for a little."
Darius raises his staff, after a few seconds, the wind gets stronger that makes the temperature cooler.
"You can do that?"
"Well, of course, my amulet's main ability is wind after all."
"Yeah, your right."
"All I do is to make a light barrier where the flow of air is stronger inside."
*That's amazing.*
"I wonder, where that Outsider went?"
*Huh?*
I heard some steps that coming towards us.
"Darius."
"Yeah, it's here."
"Where?"
"At my back."
"Huh?"
I look at Darius. There's a tall Outsider raising its hand while holding a katana.
"Darius!"
"Wind: Strengthen."
When the Outsider lands its attack, Darius strengthens its barrier to avoid breaking it.
"I see, you don't like a weakling after all. This gonna be fun."
"Vinna."
"Yeah."
A big Outsider which almost likely two meters long is in front of us. It, not just its height that totally frightening but also it's four arms which holding two katanas and two axes.
"This gonna be a big trouble."
The Outsider steps forward and opens wide all of its arm, with katanas on the upper arm and axes in the lower arm. He swings both his katanas and axes at the same time to the barrier. The barrier disappears after the attack.
"He breaks my barrier?"
"Darius, I'm going to attack first, assist me."
"Yes."
Drawing my sword, I dash towards the Outsider and swing my sword towards his waist. He immediately blocks it with his katana. I jump backwards, holding my sword with my two hands.
"Not bad for a girl like you."
"Shut up!"
The Outsider dash towards me.
*He's fast!*
He is fast even in his size. He's already in front of me raising his upper left arm while holding his katana. I'm too near to get away on time.
*I can't make it in time.*
But when he smashes his katana towards me, his attack deflect because of Darius's barrier. Darius already put the barrier on me before I dash towards the Outsider.
"Wind: Expand!"
The barrier expands causing the Outsider to push away.
"You okay?", He asked.
"Yeah, thanks for that."
"We should be more careful."
"He's too strong, can we even defeat him?", I asked.
"Don't worry, it doesn't matter whether we will able to kill him or not, what we need now is to survive."
"But our mission is-"
"I know, but if we lose a member, that will bring more damage to A-1."
*He got a point.*
"Can we even escape from him?"
"That was what I'm thinking now."
He's too big and also fast. With his four arms, I won't able to hit him and it will be harder to dodge his attack.
"So, what's the plan?"
"Can you go forward to him again?"
"What?"
"I just want to try something."
"Okay."
Even though it's dangerous, I agree since I have no choice.
"I won't let you live this time."
The Outsider faces me while spinning his axes and katanas in his hands.
"Shut up and just die!"
I run towards him, he swings his ax sidewards. I block it with my sword. I push his ax and try to slash him but he quickly blocks it with his other ax.
*It's impossible.*
I continue swinging my sword randomly and he just keeps blocking it.
"Nothing will happen if you just keep swinging your sword like that."
The Outsider raises again his hand while holding his katana. But before he hits me the barrier appears to block it. The barrier didn't use to me but instead to the Outsider.
"Wind: Compress!"
The barrier imprisoned the Outsider and it's slowly compressing causing the Outsider to hardly move.
"Vinna!"
"Yes!"
I run towards the Outsider while pointing my sword at him.
"You're dead!"
"Don't get too cocky girl!"
The Outsider opens wide all of his arms causing the barrier to destroy. He raises now all of his arms while holding all of the weapons he has.
"I'm going to chop you into pieces!"
I slide down between his leg and get up. I was ready to thrust my sword to his back but...
"Huh?"
He let go of his ax on his left hand and use it to block my attack. My sword pierces his hand causing it to bleed.
"I never thought that you will able to wound me, but that will be the last!"
"Tsk"
I jump backward to put some distance between us.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, this one is tougher than I thought."
"This is a problem. We have no choice but to escape to him."
"But despite his size, he's so fast."
"That would be a problem. If Ernesta is here, we might able to defeat this huge guy."
Ernesta can easily take this guy down using her amulet. She doesn't need to get near to attack plus, she can use her chain to wrap his body and also to his loud mouth.
"Hey Darius, can you use your barrier for us to get away?"
"I will try my best."
Darius hold tight his staff with his two hands.
"Wind: Strengthen."
The barrier surround the Outsider.
"Not this again!"
"Now Compres!"
"You!"
"Let's run now."
We run away from the Outsider while he still imprisoned.
"How minutes it can hold that Outsider?"
"I doubt it would take a minute, but we might already get away before he destroys it."
We run as fast as we could to get away from the Outsider.
"You won't get away!"
The Outsider already released from the barrier and now, his chasing after us.
"He will catch up to us."
"I know. I have no choice now."
Darius stops and holds his staff with his two hands and imprison again the Outsider using his barrier.
"Wind: Quick!"
The flow of the wind inside the barrier went so fast that it looks like a blade spinning around the barrier.
"What the hell?!"
"Sorry, but this gonna be hurt I little. Now, Wind: Compress."
The barrier compress and the Outsider try to stop it using his katanas and axes.
"Let's go. The barrier is not strong enough but it will give us some time."
"Yeah."
We manage to escape from the Outsider.

"I see, you don't accomplish your mission huh."
"No no, you're wrong Commander. Greg and I manage it, but well with the help of Vice Commander Relaine."
"Woah! You see Relaine?!"
"Ernesta, there's no time for that."
"Okay okay."
After our mission, all of us come to the meeting room to report our mission. Vinna and Darius didn't manage to kill their enemy, same as us too. Only Greg and Rick manage to defeat an Outsider.
"We're not sure whether that Outsider is dead, but at least all of you is still alive and no one injured badly."
"Yeah!", Ernesta shouted.
*Sigh*
Commander sighed.
"You can go back now and have some rest."

The only ones left in the room are me and Ernesta. She's still standing there and wondering about something.
"Ernesta, why not go back and have some rest too."
"Hey Lisa, do you remember the party?"
"The party?"
"Woah, you really forgot about that?"
"Spill it out already."
"The HQ party, you know, where all the HQ members and their commanders in the different areas take a party in one place."
"Oh, I almost forgot about that."
"You're getting older now Lisa hehe."
*This girl*
HQ party is usually held once a year, they held a party where all the HQ members and their commanders in a different area is invited. The goal of this party is still unknown but the other HQ area takes advantage of this to gain some help from some kingdoms since some also people that not member of HQ but with high position also invited to this party.
"I see, I know what to do now."
"What do you mean?"
"We're going to the party."
"I see I see, it will be next week."
"Next week huh. Tell the other member to get ready next week."
"Aye aye, Lisa!",
Ernesta gives me a salute before she went out.
"This is the only chance I have."
*With this party, we might gain some help from other places.*
