Kapitel 61: Chapter 61

My eyes snapped open and immediately I sprung up. The echo of the battle ringing in my ears. I quickly scanned my surroundings and noticed I was lying on a bed roll of sorts in a tent.

Had the battle ended?

I looked down at my injured arm and noticed someone had bandaged it up. It was already healing, thankfully. I must have passed out due to blood loss or exhaustion. Who even knows?

The tent flaps were roughly pushed apart and I snapped my eyes up. Xavier stood at its entrance. He looked...furious. His hair was messy and I noticed he hasn't shaved in a while. He had a tiny cut on his shoulder but it hasn't been tended to. I immediately wanted to go to him and tend to it.

His grey eyes pierced mine. He accessed my body, looking for any injuries. Once he was done he took a step towards me. His large frame eating up all the space in the tent.

"How could you?" He asked softly.

"How could I what?" I said as I stared up at him from my place on the floor.
