"Has he ever laid a finger on you?"

"He's my dad."

"Exactly."

She had expected this. As a case with so few suspects, the police department had grown desperate and it was evident in the way they had been grilling Gisele for the past four hours - determined to get any evidence that could suggest child abuse. Molestation. The works.

In their minds, the thought that Harvey Hamilton was a predator and the murderer of Rayna Sutherland was no longer a mere conspiracy, but instead, pure fact.

A weathering leather bound journal was placed in front of Gisele.

"We have a few questions."

It was pelting rain into the dreary afternoon hours later as four people found themselves in Logan's basement, once again.

Logan stared at the news channel in disbelief. "What the fuck did your dad do to the police chief? And where are they gathering all this 'evidence' on him?"

"They refuse to release any information. But I know they have zero other leads."
