I watch Lavinia and the other witches leave as I stand there, dumbfounded at my own stupidity. The pack members that attended begin to clear out as well, leaving me, Quentin, Carl and Vicky behind.

Marriage?

What was I thinking?

If I was trying to put some space between Raven and me, I just failed epically. I have accepted that she is my mate, but I was still trying to figure out how we could make it work without upsetting everyone. And I will admit, my immediate response after recovering from my illness was hasty and a little unfair. I should have given her time to explain.

After Quentin told me what happened and what Raven said to him, I felt bad about how I reacted. However, I still wanted time to work things out in my head before I apologized to her. I somehow knew she would be safe with Evanora, so I was attempting to give us both time to process before seeking her out.
