Elizabeth woke up in her little cottage, the sun streaming in through her bedroom window. She had woken up every morning for a month now already, relishing the peace the morning here gave her.

She’d been home for about a month now. She’d been living in the Moirai, working as their healer, when one night a stranger had come into her room, running straight for her, grabbing her.

Elizabeth had screamed and tried fighting him off. He was very obviously stronger, and had the upper hand, until the guard wolves heard the commotion and came to intervene.

The wolf had left peacefully after that, the guards following him out.

The training healer had come to check in on her, and then helped her to her own rooms. But Elizabeth had decided that night, she couldn’t stay in the Moirai. She absolutely had to leave for her home, and she’d set out as soon as she had the Alpha’s permission, which was brought to her by the healer in training, who introduced herself as Ayla.
