Horn of Freedom was an admittedly weird name for a town. However, the inhabitants of the town proudly called the town as such.

It didn't take a genius to understand why.

The town was just two years old. It was originally established as an Internally Displaced People's Camp (IDP Camp) for civilians displaced from their homes due to the civil unrest in the country and lack of government presence in many places in the country, much of which were rural areas.

The camp quickly grew in size and the foreign NGO managing the site decided to take bold steps and expand the camp into a permanent settlement.
