With the fulfilment of the traditional wedding rites, the event's MC finally asked the couple to take the prepared seats at the podium.

Champion and Mary sat on the podium in clear view of the crowd as unmistakeably husband and wife.

The party could now begin in earnest!

The couple's first job as husband and wife was to cut the large 18 layer wedding cake which stood at almost 3 metre high!

The newly weds were joined by their groomsmen, bridesmaids and Mr Onuoha in cutting the cake.

After which, the couple took to the dancefloor to kick things off.

Champion's two left feet sent the crowd into a bout of jeers and laughter. Fortunately, Mary was able to save a bit of the couple's face with her graceful dance steps.

"In the groom's defence, the bride did vow 'for better or for worse'. Now we know his dance steps are for worse." The MC said.
