Kapitel 136: Her Death

Jasmine stayed in the tub for hours until her skin got wrinkly. She was numb to the pain. She felt nothing. Her body was exhausted.

Her heart bled uncontrollably in her chest as her soul silently died with each breath she took. Within the few hours after Arya left, she felt as though her world had collapsed.

She had realized it only now, how much she had changed to accommodate the man. She had compromised and sacrificed her happiness for him.

She tolerated his physical and emotional abuse without complaints. She let him turn her into a slave instead of a lover.

In the end, he let others play with her like a discarded piece of trash. She didn't have the energy to face the world again. She neither had it in her to kill herself all alone.

So she stood beside her wardrobe and changed into a loose-fitting black dress. Her hair was still wet from the bath but she paid no mind to it.
