Your friends-" they all stared at Selis, Ashirnae, and the rest. "Are welcome as well."

Wow, so the tree thought of the gods as my friends and not its children.

Ouch.

'So, it's afraid of us…'

"Very tempting," the spirit whispered. "But it's your choice."

Everyone looked at me. 

They didn't say anything. 

Just stared.

"Tell me, what happens to the world after you consume it?"

They did not answer me. rather- "Now, let us hear your answer."

Yeah, I still got my answer. 

I had some doubts. 

But who knew this damn tree would just come out of its way to piss me off and- clear everything?
