Kapitel 30: Chapter – 30: Brewing troubles

It's been a week since I started at the academy. After the first day, I started to send the blood clone as per plan. The plan was pretty straightforward, to appear as average as possible in all respects, not too good and certainly not too bad either.
The only plus point of the academy for me so far is the academy library. It quickly became a great source of knowledge for me. My clone spent a lot of time there collecting all kinds of information. The only problem was that a lot of historical knowledge is sugarcoated to make Senju Hashirama and Konoha appear like the savior of mankind, nothing among which could be blindly trusted.
Still, beggars can't be choosers. I will take all I can get, as I only had access to the Genin area of the library. I will need special permission or graduate to get more access and only an idiot would graduate early since the war will start again in a couple of months, the Third Ninja War.
Currently, I am inside the Origin space in deep thought. It's actually something I have been pondering upon for quite some time now, but can't figure out the answer. Why would every Mangekyo Sharingan have different abilities?
There were multiple possibilities I could think of. It could be because everyone activated different genes, so the Mangekyo they awakened is different. It could also be because the order in which they activated these genes is different so the abilities of their Mangekyo are different. for example, if one Uchiha activates the genes A, B, C in the sequence [A→ B→ C], and another Uchiha activates the same genes in [C→ A→ B], the Mangekyo they get is different?
I couldn't figure it out. The only person who I know has awakened Mangekyo at this point in Konoha is the Wicked Eyes, Fugaku. It is almost impossible, but even if by some miracle I do get my hands on his blood sample, I cannot come to any conclusion at all. I will just know which genes he has activated.
This is the reason I haven't used the Seal of Ouroboros yet after gaining the third tomoe. I never liked surprises or unknowns. I wanted to take the best possible path so I will get the best possible ability.
But now, it seems I have no other alternatives as I don't want to wait for Obito to activate his Mangekyo. I already had a Plan-B just in case I needed it, which will come in handy now. First, among all my inactive genes, I tested the compatibility of my current chakra. Even though all of them rejected it, there was a slight difference in how long it took for them to do it. Like, some rejected it right away whereas some resisted for a while before rejecting it. This implies that although my chakra is not compatible with them, how incompatible they are with my chakra can still be measured.
After experimenting with all Eighteen of my inactive genes, I sorted them according to their compatibility to my chakra in descending order and my plan is to activate them in the same order.
But the problem is I have Six active genes missing in my collection. Still, after looking at the ordered genes, the first active gene I am lacking will be the ninteenth one I will have to activate. So, for now, there are no issues.
Soon, I started preparing to cast the Seal to activate the tenth gene.
** somewhere in Konoha **
[Third Person POV]
Yaguchi Koto is an average student who had just entered the academy this year. His father, Yaguchi Reizo is a Tokubetsu Jonin of Konoha. His father is always away on missions these days. As he grew up without his mother, he had already learned to be on his own from a very young age. A lot of children in Konoha were like that, especially in these times of war.
Today, after the classes, he went to play with his friends in the park. His father was once again on a mission out of the village, so he thought it would be fine to play a little longer and it had already turned dark when they decided to stop. Now, he was returning back home alone.
He was in a pretty good mood as he had won in both games they played. So, humming some tune and skipping he made his way back.
As he was passing through a deserted alleyway, something or someone hit the back of his head and abruptly his vision turns dark and then nothing, he couldn't remember anything after that.
Similar acts happened in three more places on the same day. And all this points to a single thing, Trouble is brewing.
** Hokage office **
An emergency meeting was being conducted with all the high levels of the village gathered. There were even clan heads of Nara, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Hyuuga, Uchiha, and other major clans present along with the council members and Danzo.
A gloomy aura seems to cover the whole room. All of them were sitting in silence contemplating the impacts these recent events might have until the Hokage breaks the silence.
"Today, I have received confirmed reports that Four children who are studying in our academy have been kidnapped!" the Hokage drops the bomb.
All of those present who didn't already have this information were shocked badly. Low murmurs begin as they try to get more information from those that they were close to.
"Quiet!" the Hokage slams his palm on the desk and releases some pressure, "Now is not the time to bicker amongst ourselves. It is already tense near the borders and the war of villages might start again at any time. I have no more resources to spare, but we cannot let go of anyone who thinks he can do whatever he wants in Konoha!"
"Shikaku and Fugaku, I am handing this over to you. I want to see the one responsible for this caught soon. I cannot give you any more manpower, you can use the Police force as you see fit. Any questions?"
The whole room turns silent. It had been a long time since they saw Hiruzen this angry. It seems someone has touched his bottom line this time by acting rampantly in Konoha. Even Danzo kept quiet.
"Okay, all of you except Shikaku and Fugaku leave,"
"Hai Hokage-sama!" everyone else leaves the office with a bow.
After everyone leaves, Shikaku asks, "Hokage-sama who got kidnapped?"
"Children, Four children," says Hiruzen with a sad sigh, "Yaguchi Koto, Kurata Shigeko, Hayato Yasuo and … Hayashi Chojiro!"
Shikaku had no idea about the other three but, "Hayashi? the son of Seishiro-sama!"
Hayashi Seishiro was a famous merchant. His story itself was kind of legendary. Born in a middle-class family, with just his hard work and wisdom, built a grand empire in the silk business. No one knows how much wealth he has accumulated. But that wasn't the cause of worry for the Hokage and them, the main reason is that Seishiro's business was also one of the major sponsors of missions in Konoha. Every year there would be hundreds of high-ranking escort missions alone from his business.
If they lost Seishiro's support, it will be a huge hit to Konoha's reserves. Especially since war is about to start and Konoha needs to fill its coffers before the war begins. Therefore they cannot afford to lose even one customer, not to mention such a big one.
Shikaku and Fugaku both look towards each other and think the exact same thing, 'This is bad!'
