Kapitel 37: Spiritual Resonance
"What you are?" Dustan stated as he looked at Adrian with all seriousness.
"You are asking me as if I am not human or something. I do not know if I should be offended or saddened about that." Adrian replied as he attempted to stall as he thought of an answer. The gazes of everyone are actually telling him to answer honestly.
"I have always been skeptical of you since we teamed up. You seem to know of things in such detail that makes you the discoverer of things or you could actually do them. What really is the Child of Gaia? You told us about Gaia, but you deliberately avoided giving an explanation of your origin." Dustan stated as even the others including Baba, who was eavesdropping, perked up their ears.
"Do you guys believe in Reincarnation?" Adrian asked them in a mysterious tone. He is supposed to look mysterious but the chewing sounds coming from him is full mouth.
"Seriously only spiritual people believe in that kind of stuff. When you are dead then you are dead." Dustan stated as he did not believe in people getting reincarnated.
"Sheesh…only teenage girls like to believe in things like reincarnations or soul mates." Whiz stated which made Esme blush a little.
"I actually disagree because it has been taught to us that reincarnation is real. Gods do it all the time." Jihan refuted.
"Dead people do not get reincarnated but there is something called heaven and hell. You can choose to believe me or not. But for the Child of Gaia, there is something called Spiritual Resonance." Adrian stated as he stabbed the roast beef with his fork.
"Spiritual Resonance? Are you talking about the phenomenon where you can impart memories on things? But that can only be done on non-living things and not living things." Jihan asked.
"Oh! It seems that you know that already. Let me ask you again, what is my ability?" Adrian asked.
"You are an Empath." Whiz answered.
"Exactly and what are empaths great at?" Adrian asked.
"Handling emotions. Get to the point." Dustan answered.
"Exactly. Spiritual Resonance could be easily done if the empath is powerful enough. Even normal people could do it well if they are attached to something. You know of the thing they call nostalgia, right?
Nostalgia is basically a form spiritual resonance since it induces the emotions you felt on something after a long time. My large intelligence about the supernatural world is basically like that. I know things because they have been given to me by the past Child of Gaia." Adrian stated as he worked around the truth.
"So, these memories passed onto you is memories of the others. Does that mean that you experienced those events yourself?" Jihan stated as he stood up. He knows that the Child of Gaia has been around for a long time. Even his family's records know of a Child of Gaia that lived in ancient times since it has been recorded.
"Oh! What I told you is classified so you might get in danger if anyone knows of what I told you." Adrian casually stated which suddenly made them nervous.
"Just how classified is the information?" Whiz asked as he gulped water because in their line of work classified means information that can get you killed.
"Well, Joe told me not to tell any living soul. So, you guys better keep your mouths shut or try to forget what I told you." Adrian stated as he continued eating like it was nothing.
"How do you apply Spiritual Resonance on a living being?" Jihan asked as he knew that this information is something a lot of demigod beings want to know. It takes them one step closer to godhood.
"If I tell you that then I would have to kill you myself…well I do not need to dirty my hands since others would probably do it." Adrian stated in a heavy tone which made the room silent for a few seconds.
"Aigoo! Spiritual this and that. You guys better finish your food before it gets cold. And you, young lad…" Baba stated.
"Me?!" Adrian said as he pointed to himself.
"Yes, you. Since you like eating a lot then I am sure that you also like doing the dishes. You will help me tidy up the kitchen starting today." Baba stated.
"But!" Adrian grumbled.
"But nothing. If you do not agree then I will just feed you with rice and salt for a whole week." Baba stated as she returned to the kitchen. Everybody proceeded to eat in silence after that. If there is one thing that the Child of Gaia lacks, then it is great social skills.

In the kitchen, Adrian is currently doing his best scrubbing the dishes while Baba is supervising her. The kitchen is filled with the folk music of a certain country. Baba is dancing lightly as she swept the kitchen floor.
"So, why did you actually call me here?" Adrian stated in a serious tone as he stopped scrubbing the plate.
"I see. It seems that your senses are sharp, Adrian. Or should I call you by the name that I met you…The Morrigan." Baba stated as the broom that she is sweeping with swept the floor on its own.
"Then should I also call you by the name that I met you? Baba Yaga." Adrian replied.
