Lyner was a man who had a few disciples who could be counted with one hand. The reason for his having so few disciples was because of the peculiarity of his martial art. It was not just about talent, you need to have a body and will far above the ordinary.

Lyner had seen many of the so-called geniuses but none of them were able to last long in learning his martial art. Alisa was one of the rare few who could be called a disciple of Lyner, as she not only possessed the necessary qualities to become his disciple but she even had the talent for it. 

Lyner thought that no one else but Alisa could fully develop his martial art to its perfection, but that changed now that he was looking at Loki. This man without any guidance was able to forge his body to one ready for battle, not only that but after sensing his inner energy Lyner could feel the purity of Loki's inner energy.
