Kapitel 496: Need to stay

Muntaha could neither utter a word nor could he move any further. His entire body froze, stuck to the ground. Despite how loose the grain of sand is under his feet, he couldn't lift his legs. 

His eyes bulged comically out of their sockets. It was safe to say that the purple prince was flabbergasted beyond measure. 

He couldn't tell how long he stood there, staring unblinkingly at the figure staring back at him. Mariam on the other hand fought hard to keep away the smile threatening to appear. 

Albeit the apprehension she felt, it felt good to know that she still had her charms. Her heart felt lighter than it had for years. 

Whatever happened to her, she was grateful to have finally seen the light. Once again, something was different about her. 

It took her hours to come to terms with the changes in her before Muntaha's presence took her attention. She stared at the man unabashed.
