Kapitel 482: His last Breath

He fell into a fit of coughs. The voice he was yearning to hear echoed in his head. It sounded too loud to cause him pain. 

Wahid watched his daughter step out. the darkness. She was nothing like the battered little girl who could hardly look him in the eyes. 

The woman before him was a confident Queen who carried the gait of a predator. She pulled out a chair and made herself comfortable. After the initial words, she didn't say anything else. 

They watched the man, eyes glued on his trembling frail body. His expression was somewhere between confused and delighted to see her. She didn't care for either. 

"Maimuna..." he called her name out loud for the first time. Wahid rested his back on the headboard, looked into space, and began to speak. 

"Your name was chosen by me. Unlike your sister, you were born hours later when the sky was already dark and looming over our heads.
